A sympathy Like of your post Buglips. In memory of the fallen WyrmGear.

The lozenges were really too much for me to chew, and so difficult to get looking right.  So I was actually sort of relieved to discover I'd gone and messed it up.  Gave me an excuse, lol.

Since I've also given up beer for a while in order to shed my winter girth, I imagine the additional sober time might translate to more brush time.  I don't get wasted or anything, but even one beer is enough to make painting troublesome.

Giving up beer is a real sacrifice... That said though... I've rejoined weight watchers to shed some of my "more than just winter" girth.  The extra energy I should get as I downsize should translate to more painting etc.

Nah, mostly I just have it on hand for guests anyway.  I don't drink much overall, and rarely get blitzed.  But I do tend to drink wine or beer with food, and combined with the sedentary nature of winter that's an excellent way to find my pants don't fit.  I plan some epic hikes later this summer, so I have to train for that anyway.

As part of this training, once every week (probably wednesdays) starting next month I'll be making a hike to my not-so-local FGS.  It's 3.5 hours there, 3.5 back.  I'll strap on a backpack, use the trail that was formerly the rail line, it's practically a trail right to the shop.  Haven't been there for a while, but the owner has been a big fan of Reaper since DHL first came out.  I was working in his store when the first batch came in - '95 or '96 thereabouts.  He might have some Bones or other Reaper goodies, so not only do I get an adventurous hike, I also come back with treasure

Hiking is good for me because I have near-superhuman endurance for it.  No endurance for running, though I used to be a pretty speedy sprinter.  Well, before I took up smoking anyway.  But hiking or marching?  I can go for ages, even without pre-training.

You ever read Stephen King's (as Richard Bachman)  The Long Walk?   Every time I read that, I think:  "I could totally win that."

"Buglips, you are the last survivor!  You win!  What is your greatest wish?"

"MOARRRRR BOOOOONES!!!!!!!"

"Are you sure?  Because you can have anything you want, you know.  Literally.  Anything.  Weird game, I know.  But seriously.  Anything."

"Bones!  Bones!  Bones!   And maybe a chair and some water!  But mostly Bones!"

On a different note, I've begun farming my metals...

I just started making Reuben Sandwich's from scratch! They are deeeeeelish! So awesome we both started something new.

I like a nice Rueben Sandwich.

How "from scratch" crazy are you going? I could make my own corned beef, but good saurkraut is an art I have not mastered.

No, no, no, no, no.   Lies.  Nothing but lies.  My family may be a bit more hirsute around the chinny chin than the average goblin, but rare genetic anomalies aren't proof of anything!  Not proof, I say!  And the fact that my great uncle Harbarad has a dwarf name, and a beard, and paler skin, and talks a little scottish, and likes to use an axe which is an unusual choice for a goblin is also not proof of anything.

I'll thank you to end this slander, madam.
