First world problem: I had about $200 in "want list" type items in my cart when the Reaper Swag Bags went live. Since the $50 price tag was already over my budget, I deleted my whole cart and placed an order for just the bag, but now I don't remember everything that was in my cart.

The final say on the miracle whip vs mayonnaise debate!

This is "the Oatmeal" so if you are easy offended or dislike crude humor please don't click on the link!

Without further ado...

But... but... I love Miracle Whip! It's what my dad was raised with and so what I was raised with and I like it's distinct flavour so much more than boring old regular mayonnaise!

Holy carp! 25 new pages in 4 days?!??! ::o:

I expected it to be quiet in here this weekend....  :wacko:

We've had comedy, we've had drama, we've had Mod warnings.

Cheers, tears, and fears.

Y'know. The usual for around here. ^_^

Ah, I finally remembered what I was going to post earlier but forgot.

Something I never thought I would say in the context of a Pathfinder game:

Me: "So, basically, she just cast Sexual Harassment?"  :huh:

GM: "...Yeah, I guess you could say she did."

Me: "I probably shouldn't be finding this as hilarious as I do."

~~~~~~~
I also wanted to give a forum-wide hug to everybody for being so incredibly awesome. I've been on a number of forums, but what we've got here is something special. Thank you.  :wub:  ^_^
Reminds me of a spoof DnD game where we had a Dwarven Sorcerer. His name was Rhon Jheremy, and he renamed more than a few of his spells; e.g. Dancing Lights became Disco Ball, Baby, and Message became Sweet Nothings. There were more, but I can't name them in polite company...or on these forums.  :lol:
EDIT: To clarify, this was not my character. My character was a monk named Sho'Nuff, and the other character was a Half-Elf Bard named Bubba Hotep. He was an Elvish Impersonator.
:rock:  Now I want to know what spell was actually cast, upon who it was cast, and why....
Well, okay, but only because the context makes it funnier. ::D:  (don't worry, I'll keep it family-friendly)
Our DM PC, Lucia, needed to buy a new dress since her best one had acquired several gaping gashes in it (if she weren't a vampire, and therefore undead, she would have been killed. That's the umpteenth time she's saved our hides. We figured a new dress was the least we could do to say thank you, lol). But she couldn't go dress shopping alone, since she needed someone along to help her decide which ones looked best. Funnily enough, all of the female party members would not have been good choices for various reasons (they consist of a klepto halfling (me), a dwarf cleric, and our fighter who hails from the land of the Linorm Kings, and who dresses and acts like a viking). This left only the males of the group: an elf mage, a human paladin, and a goblin. Yes, our party is odd. And awesome. Since she's a bit uncomfortable around paladins, and the goblin was out for...obvious reasons, that left Arodus, the mage. The fact that in a previous session, we'd dressed him up as a female human as a disguise to help us all sneak into this town made this all the more amusing.  :lol:
Okay, so, shopping trip. There are wanted posters up around the town for Arodus and several other party members (yep, me included  ::D: ), but he refused to dress up like a woman again, so the two of them just sort of hoped that they wouldn't run into any of the town guar- oh darn. Well, that plan didn't work so well. However, before the guards could get a good look at his face (this was at night), Lucia covertly cast a spell called Unnatural Lust on one of them. The fact that she also has over 20 Charisma did not help this guard's chances of resisting (even if he'd wanted to). He failed his save spectacularly, and, well, started doing what the spell description says the target of the spell does.
As soon as he starts doing this, she starts screaming for him to get off of her, she's nobility (which she actually is), how dare he, etc.
[insert my quote here, along with a great deal of laughter from everybody]
The spell wears off (it only lasts for 6 seconds), the guard apologizes most profusely, isn't sure what came over him, etc. Needless to say, nobody's paying even the slightest bit of attention to Arodus now, so the two of them are able to go on their way without further interruptions.
Such a fun session; I'm really going to miss this group when we move.  ^_^
Lol.  Funny!
Random off topic.  Does anyone else find themselves getting questions by new painters in PM's?  I'm happy to help... but I have to wonder how they came to the conclusion I'm an expert...
Ohhh ping.  I'm just noticed I'm feeling particularly like a god!
  Oh, you clearly haven't played with some of my friends, lol... One time something like that happened, and the guard that caught us was suddenly bowled over by a 15HD swarm of squirrels - in heat. ::D:  It became a running gag that the guard was forever after stalked by a very enamored squirrel.
I sometimes do, but mostly I get "thank yous" for my "relax and have fun" posts and WIPs.
Which is notable, to me, not so much because I get some attention (and I do love attention) - but because it illustrates to me just how many new painters find the hobby, maybe find other sites, and are intimidated into not having fun.
When I started painting "fast and loose" I did it for my own reasons and my own particular circumstances (volume, mostly) but I never expected that showing a relaxed approach and saying "y'know, it's okay if you only want to do it like this, not everybody has to try to be Rembrandt" would resonate so much.  Or to just what extent the push for everybody to be "better" was crowding people out.
People should try new things and try to paint better, yes.  But never at the expense of fun.  Too much about the latter got forgotten along the way in some places.  (You can also see this when people post something and ask us to be gentle with them).
I'm glad that by happy coincidence my painting philosophy found fertile ground here, because there's no better company (both community peers and the business who owns the place) to be ambassadors for the hobby.  And the range on this board is good, because there are active, great people all the way from "fast and basic" to "super mega champion fancy".  However far new people want to go, there's somebody to ask.
