Doug Sundseth
I strongly dislike spammers and spambots. IrRegardless of how fancy their handbags may be. Fixed that for you. There is a local DJ on the radio station my carpool prefers to listen to that uses the word "irregardless" regardless of the number of times someone corrects him. It bugs the hell out of me. I have an English major friend who does the same thing. Also mixes up "fewer" and "less" pretty much constantly. "The primary point is that the now-standard pedantry about less/fewer is in fact one of the many false "rules" that have recently precipitated out of the over-saturated solution of linguistic ignorance where most usage advice is brewed." From Language Log.
Moderator Froggy the Great Posted April 30, 2014 Moderator Share Posted April 30, 2014 There's a grocery store chain here that actually uses less/fewer correctly in their express lanes.

ub3r_n3rd
Love Pathfinder, it is a very well-maintained system with tons of options. Basically it's D&D 3.75 at this point.
Sirithiliel
first we're just going to do a one shot quick module that my husband modified. I don't play often and for one of our friends this will be her first RPG game ever. If everyone likes it, then we'll switch the upcoming campaign that I'm helping to design from D&D to pathfinder

Sirithiliel
Hmm okay, once it's done I'll whip up a thread descirbing how it went. I'm thinking druid for myself, but i haven't made a character or played in years. [my husband is always the DM, and it's easier for me to just help with his campaign rather than have him try to keep everything he does for the game secret from me and have me play] so this will be my first time playing in ages. Usually i just help design the campaign and paint the minis
MatrissaTheEnchantress
Almost Human was one of the shows I was getting lined up to watch but decided to wait after seeing it's Fox. It's almost certainly boardroom politics, someone high up in that company actively hates Sci-Fi. Earlier I had read that Fox had played several of the early episodes out of order - and doesn't that also sound all too familiar (Firefly, anyone)? My personal "pet theory" is that there is someone in upper management at Fox who is morally opposed to speculative genre shows and who isn't high enough to stop such shows from being picked up but is high enough up to screw with their schedules and to have input when the time comes to start axing things.

They did, despite protests from the creators at how that wasn't a good idea. I believe Fox's upper management has significantly changed in the decade since Firefly, though. This may be more of a corporate culture thing than any one person.
Mad Jack
So, here's some irony far ya... When I didn't get in on the first wave of swag bags, I went ahead and bought the Sophie by herself. So at least I had the Sophie, if not the paints. Then I get my swag bag, so now I have two Sophies (although this had actually been my original plan before I thought I missed the swag bags) and the catus flower, rattlesnake leather and sky blue paints.... And today, the first package with the first Sophie arrived. With a free paint sample, no less... A sort of sky blue color... I can't actually confirm yet that it's that blue, but it looks pretty close from the pics I've seen.
