Moderator OneBoot Posted May 1, 2014 Moderator Share Posted May 1, 2014 So, I just spent about 2 hours reading through all the threads in the Reapercon forum; I'm pretty sure I've got a contact high. This. So very much this. ~~~~~ Pathfinder session tonight was full of win. The highlight, though, was Mr. Boot (the GM), roleplaying a couple of nymphs interacting with the two male player characters in our group. Watching him pretending to be silly and coy was priceless beyond words, particularly since he tends to strike people as rather quiet and serious before they get to know him. The shenanigans culminated in both of the male players each taking one of the nymphs on an impromptu date (leaving the women of the group to saunter in and steal the magical mcguffin, (which turned out to be a fake later), and stroll casually out). The dates led to the wizard very nearly drowning, in addition to splinching himself and his date (in Pathfinder terms, just taking some damage, but I thought the Harry Potter analogy appropriate for the circumstances) from a failed teleport trying to save himself and take her with him (he managed to teleport successfully on the second try, though), and the paladin being temporarily blinded by an ability the one he took out has (called blinding beauty, if I recall correctly). My sides are still sore from all the laughing. Huzzah! --OneBoot :D

Mr Melons
I can remember DM'ing a Star Wars campaign for a friend of mine based on the Old Republic right before SWOTR came out so he could have a better grasp of the time period of the game. Well he had a love interest in the game and quite frankly it's really awkward and difficult to "hit on" your same sex best friend....needless to say I felt like I needed a shower afterwards so I feel for your husband.
Moderator OneBoot Posted May 1, 2014 Moderator Share Posted May 1, 2014 It wasn't like that, though. Ack, it's hard to properly describe through text, but they weren't flirty. No innuendo at all, we run pretty family-friendly games. The nymphs were just silly and giggly and pretty bored to tears with guarding the magical thingummy, and super excited about doing something different for a change. My halfling had a grand ol' time trying to convert them to Banjoism (she worships a hand puppet named Banjo, and is thoroughly convinced it's a deity), and the dwarf cleric just enjoyed the whole silliness. kay13
Lol.... All I can say is... 2nd Ed D&D game. Very devout specialist priest of Tyr. Noble background. Female. At this stage does not appear to notice what is going on. Frivolous & rather single minded wizard. Flexible morals. Noble background. Childhood friend of character 1. Flirt with others of his own social class. Male... Makes for some interesting times. Especially since the rest of the party are "low born"... and are always telling them to "get a room" (note the guy who plays the wizard is happily married & has been for the past decade). Moderator Froggy the Great Posted May 1, 2014 Moderator Share Posted May 1, 2014 I wonder if I can bring my paint standard back up to Bronze this year. I stopped doing showcase painting about a year and a half ago.

Talae
I could definitely see it changing the general mood if there were less pants involved.
