More new from the Kickstarter comments:

So we are done for the day. The tracker didn't break, each field is triggered by a different event. When I scan out your order, checking the database to show it that all items are included, it subtracts from items remaining, and deducts from orders remaining, as well as updating recent destination. When postage/UPS waybill is applied, it updates "orders shipped today" and triggers the email to you that says it was your order shipped. When UPS picks everything up, that's when your tracking # starts to work.
We had some time lost events today - having to stop processing Canada cost us about 20 minutes. A crashed computer reset an order and cost us a few minutes. Printing a new book cost us a about 15 minutes. It's not much but at ~150 pledges an hour it cost us about a hundred orders. Today has not been what I classify as a good day. 1125 is too low to make me happy
Now, current data re: Canada and ROW.
Canada, we can process to your 3 Easternmost provinces, but not to the West. It's a thing. I'm not pleased but we need another form signed to ship to Calgary. I am not sure right now if we will return to Canadian shipments tomorrow as originally planned - with only 750 to go, I think we want to do them all and not do just Hal of those. Either way, when I'm done typing this, I'm breaking down pallets for reprocessing.
ROW: your stuff is going US Postal, and we are anticipating 2 days of fulfillment there. I'm waiting on a phone call from the Denton postmaster to arrange them to leave us a truck rather than our usual carrier.
I think that's everything. For those worried, we really are trying to solve this as fast as possible - and we do appreciate your patience. 1,100-1,300 people a day are getting their parcels, and we should finish the remaining 9,626 in just over 7 work days. That should be before we leave for July 4 Holiday, Again, assuming no further Kablooie.

Just imagining the regular mailman stopping by that day and asking, "So, got anything for me?"

Wait... They are shipping things to Calgary?? Well hopefully they'll have dried out before the Bones rattle through...

That's a logistical issue handled by UPS. They know to where they can and can't deliver and anything going to a flooded area will be held by them until normal delivery resumes.

7 work days would go past July 4th because I doubt they will work Saturday, just like the last one.

Maybe they work on the 4th and are off the following day. I have had that kind of schedule before.

Watching that tracker makes me think that

A) Reaper is very glad that they didn't do a second Kickstarter before going through the whole of fulfilling the first.

B) Reaper's next Kickstarter will not have so many options as stretch goals.

i

C) Reaper's next Kickstarter will not ship to Canada. ::o:

Once they get our complicated butts out of the way it ought to be smooth sailing. Stay strong, sister!

I will, sorry guys. Just had a very, very bad day so far (and it's only 10.42am) and everything is compounding into one big ball of fail. A lot of it is due to me getting my hopes up and then having them dashed, it's exhausting and I am tired of it.

If that unlikely event became so, within 30 seconds of the announcement I'd file for my green card. My love of Bones is so pervasive I'd move just to get a tiny taste of what I crave.

The 'Like' here indicates 'agreement with your point' not 'I like your misfortune and laugh! LAUGH I SAY!'

It's a bit disapointing but, and here's the important bit, it's open and transparent and communicated well. For that alone I'm willing to give them a pass. Hell, if they need to drop ROW to the end of the queue as long as I can see what's going on I'm OK with it.

I'd hoped to be seeing if I was right about being in the first ROW shipment today, but now it's going to be on my Friday. C'est la vie, I'll cope.

Badly, but that's still coping damnit!

Yeah, I know. The point is more that my friend in British Columbia gets stuck waiting longer unless UPS becomes suddenly brilliant enough to route things through Edmonton. Or unless things dry up. Which, at the rate Canadian shipments are going, might happen.
