klawzie
What about this one, then? http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0054594/?ref_=sr_1 On-topic: I did hear that a lot of Bones reverted on their own, without boiling, just by being let sit out of the package for some time. Since I'm not likely to jump right into painting, I'll probably be doing a check as I think of it for any of my squished Bones haul. I'll have to put them in a special time out box, I think. jlblack
Yeah, this guy seems to be the one that most people are having issues with. I think I'll try pinning him while flubbery from being boiled and see if that works a bit better when I get my greasy hands on him. I nominate "flubbery" as the official term for that bouncy soft feel of hot simmered Bones, full credit going to Laoke of course. I love being present when a new word is coined ---however this one might already exist--- but it is kind of a cool reference. Cooler references are the original movies flubber appeared in: http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0054594/?ref_=sr_3 http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0057518/?ref_=fn_al_tt_3 EDIT: Ah, dangit, somehow I missed that klawzie got to it first... TGP
Please do not remind me of that awful movie. I have never seen the 1997 film, sorry it was an unpleasant experience. The original 1961 film is where I remembered the word** from, but I linked the somewhat more modern one due to the title... **I'm sooo old.. ..and thoroughly Ninja'd Edited June 24, 2013 by TGP
TheAuldGrump
Please do not remind me of that awful movie. I think of the flubbery quality as 'wub'. So, a Bones James Bond could be described as 'From Russia With Wub'. The Auld Grump - or Wesley and Buttercup... Wub, twu wub....' :P
klawzie
Depending on your interpretation of "old", I'm not "so old", but I did watch a LOT of old movies as a kid. Some of them I'm not sure I want to watch again in case they don't hold up so well.

(Most of the tunes were stolen from... kinda raunchy drinking songs.... Look up 'Roll Her Over', and you will recognize the origin of 'Grow the Roses'....) TGP
I wonder if sitting one on the dashboard of a warm car would be enough heat? ...is 120-150 degrees enough?
Deelron
I wonder if sitting one on the dashboard of a warm car would be enough heat? ...is 120-150 degrees enough? I had a friend of mine who once left a Games Workshop tank (Hellhound) in his back window for an afternoon on a hot Southern California day. It sure warped the hell out of it! ShadowRaven
I once left a plastic container of gummie bears on a car seat. They stop being bears and end up as an oddly coloured mass of solid gummie
