I am very interested in how you worked on the furs. When I use those colors, the results come out poorly.

Base colours are on. I used Reaper Brilliant Blue Mixed with Vallejo Black in a 3:3 ratio for the cat suit. The boots and gloves are done in Citadel Warlock Purple.

This is so dark I'm going to work slowly to find the midtone. I'll do a 3:2 ratio of Blue/Black, then a 3:1 than up to just Brilliant Blue. The boots and gloves will be toned waaaay down until they are but a pale pink for contrast.

Thank you. I'm think I should lighten them up a bit though. I'm going for a 60's look and I want the boots to look like go-go boots.

Very cool I'm digging the whole superhero vibe you're going with. This figure can be taken so many different ways with just the color choices, I like your take on her so far looking forward to seeing the details being worked up

I've got to finish the bases and do a bit more work on these guys. I hope to finish them up by tomorrow.

I've based them on poker chips as I couldn't find anything large enough to accommodate the breadth of their stance. I need to finish the basing, finish his axe, give those reds depth of colour and highlights and do final touch ups.

His base needs finished and he needs final touch ups. Also both of them need their chainmail highlighted.

I never thought I'd be saying this about orcs, but they're looking totally gorgeous!!! :D I wish I had more constructive criticism to give besides "OH MY GOSH THEY'RE SO AWESOME" but I honestly can't think of anything!

 

You may have answered this before, but how do you do your backgrounds? Is it a light shining behind colored cloth/paper inside a lightbox?

They're done, I just have to edit the photos. Redbox hasn't delivered either Kickstarter? I've been lucky with the ones I've gotten into and am very happy with them.

I'm painting up my dorks (inspired by you) and wow u did a fantastic job on the skin . I took all day doing the skin of four dorks and it looks no where near your level they look amazing

Good question. He has delivered a bunch of the minis from the first KS, but they had a lot of casting problems with some horses. They asked those of us with horses if we wanted the faulty ones or wait a few more weeks for clean casts. My understanding was that was the only thing left and i was in no hurry. Of course that was a couple months ago and we have got a few updates indicating that their were actually other things that were not done as well; like weapons sprues. I broke my own rule and backed the second KS without seeing anything from the first...because the orcs looked so cool and i was irritated by some trolling in the comments on the KS board. My gut tells me i will see KS 2 minis before KS 1 minis. My impresion at this pointis that Tre is a truly gifted sculpter, but a crappy businessman. Hopefully he is learning from these problems as his mini vsions are awesome.

 

And i m so glad to see more non-glow in the dark green orcs ;-) well done.
