More pictures available on SpringPad Listing.

Any assistance with finding out this one's origins would be appreciated.

I remember having him, I am pretty sure he was from a boxed set. And I am almost positive someone posted him in the forums recently. Unfortunately I am old and senile, so I'm not much help in identifying it.

Something about him (the ? sword) is saying Ral Partha or Grenadier mid eighties...

I don't know what that is or where it came from, but I will be watching this thread to find out when someone else does know. That dude is awesome!

Thanks as well.

Now might buy him to paint myself.

Very nice! That whole box set was fantastic, it had one of the most iconic 1st/2nd edition clerics, and they all saw regular use in my games. The guy with the stylized illithid helm was the go-to polearm warrior around these parts, and Churun was a rarity, a human with a morningstar. They made iconic villains, but they were always being grabbed for pcs. Even mister fancypants with his unicorn horn and Lord Nimrod, who forgot to put pants on for the class photos.

An older miniature I started years ago, but finished recently. I think it was mostly the weapons (shading) and dirty shirt missing. I would say the paint job is average, but I do like the miniature.

I decided to go for a simple, but interesting base, featuring a Nolzur's bottle and Thomarillion barrel.

      Hi folks,
I recently painted up the dark dwarves (and Margara, dwarf shaman) as some duergar. Heavily inspired by Dr. Faust's Painting Clinic duergar streams for the skin.
Only one picture, but may take more if there's interest. :)

Painted this dwarf after he inspired me to write a D&D adventure.  It's a really cool fig with plenty of neat little details.  Comments and critiques are always welcome!  Thanks in advance!

Hello fine fans and lovers of the Reaper Miniature World!

So today I've got two figures to post. I'd do them together, but different sculptors and different genres.

The first one is an old Julie Guthrie figure from the eighties, Woman Warrior With Two Swords.  I think she came in a box from the range "the Adventurers", which was full of female player characters.

      So here she is:

In one of Anne's podcasts, she was doing non-metal metal and I'd asked her about her base colors and she suggested more grey as opposed to a blue beginning, so with this figure and her metals, I started out with Rainy Grey instead of Ashen Blue which is what I normally use.  I think she came out pretty decently, even though of course I'm never satisfied with my own work.  Such is the curse of the painter....

Anyhoos, hope you enjoy her, a very fun and basic figure.  One of the reason I like old school minis as I've mentioned before.  She strapped on her armor, grabbed her blades and took off.  No ladening herself with bags, sacks and knick knacks.

      The way of the Dawi-kin

A goal of Acquiring every single Reaper Dwarf and painting em up.

Master check list has been put together that will be updated with time.

Any duplicate model will receive conversion using Reaper weapons.

I like my check-off lists and achievement progress icons.
Green box indicates the mini is owned, the picture next to model indicates that is has been painted.

      Reaper, Dwarf Mancatcher, sku: 14463
Made this guy a Noblemen with bright colored clothes and golden glave.

Reaper, King Axehelm of Kragmarr, 77478
Wanted a dirty worn look on this dwarf kind, and a high contrast in color scheme of white and red.
Made a mistake on this one using wrong type of shade that made everything glossy, had to layer addition shades of different brand to take out the gloss. turned out a bit darker than planned.

      Reaper, Dwarven Brewmeister, 02559
Quite a strait forward model to paint.
Did not want crazy colors for this guy.

A variation of royal blue color scheme with gold patterns and closed eye lids could be interesting.

The rest of the gang. Those mugs man, are like half the size of that poor little barrel.
Wanted grouped colors of tans and browns to create tonal contrast instead of use of intense colors.
These are quite easy to paint, good models.

      Reaper, Hagar, Dwarven Hero, 77482
Wanted to make Hagar and Durgam Deepmug into a two brother team of green-beards.
      Just leather, iron, and green.

Reaper, Durgam Deepmug Dwarf Hero, 77400
      The green-beard brother of Hagar.
Rangers both, with green rune weapons

      Reaper, Dwarf Royal Weapomaster, 77574
There is nothing royal about this malicious looking guy.
      Went for high contrast red/white.
I was thinking of possible conversions, I don't know, this is not the most interesting dwarf model they have for that.

      Reaper, Fulumbar, Dwarf Warrior, 77011
Gave him axe and a shield from reaper Weapon pack III
Usually I do not go for bright colors, yet this warrior needed some frost armor! (too much terreria of late)

      Reaper, Fulumbar, Dwarf Warrior, 77011
The original model with a bit older paint job, or battle dirt paint job ;)
But with TrueBlood effect paint from GreenStuff

      Reaper, Freja Fangbreaker , 77073
This is one of the cooler looking models, even though was a bit hard to paint.
Older paint job, dirty, battle weathered.
Went with Conan the Barbarian face paint.

      Reaper, Freja Fangbreaker , 77073
Same model with Weapon Pack III axe upgrade.
Most recent paint job, cleaner with different paint scheme of bronze and green.
