So I began my slow journey to barsoom gaming the other day, I'll not go into various gaming details here, suffice to say you can visit my blog for those. But here are pics of my first martian figure.

I'm not the most qualified to give photo advice here, but a few things that might help.

 

Light from the front/sides instead of from above.

Macro.

Highest pic resolution to start and bring it down for posting from there.

No flash.

Tripod or some sort of stand.

Timer, even the best hand shakes.

 

Hope some of that is of use.

So I didn't think I had a tripod, so asked my wife, she thought perhaps the telescope stand would work, sure enough, perfect fit.

 

So I tipped my light forward a bit more and tried again.

To be fair the other version they had of her was entirely nude save the jewelry. A bit too nude IMHO. While I know ERB described them as such, I don't feel it's practical. I always felt loose flowing loin cloth style garments would have done well. Also girls with boobs that big generally want to strap those puppies in if there is going to be swift movement.

I much prefer Bombshell Babes "The Girl" for use as Dejah.

So my new Bronze Age Martians got here along with John Carter, with any luck and some motivation, I'll have at least one finished by tomorrow.

And here are a couple new guys. I've got 5 more figures to do that I currently own. To prevent myself from getting overwhelmed I only bought a small selection to start with and intend to slowly expand it.

Oh wow, loving these figures! I've drawn Dejah before, she's heaps of fun because of all her gorgeous jewelry. Love the way you've painted her skin.

Runelord, I have more pics on the blog, but I'll thrown them here as well. Again I apologize for the pictures, still working out the best way to take them.

 

 

 

 

Also, Dejah's skin is the Golden Flesh mixed with a dark red. I then worked my way up to straight Golden Flesh.
