So the other day I got one of those car-dealership scratch-off things - If your numbers match, you've won a prize! - and I figured what the elf, I'll go down there and collect the "$5 cash" that was the smallest prize... I'll throw it in my gas tank, and it'll cover what it took to get down there and use it as an excuse to stop by the used book store on the way back....

When I got down there, they handed me a $5 Wallyworld gift card. :grr: :grr: :grr: That... is not cash, you microcephalic elf-biters. It was also not listed anywhere in the official rules, which I read carefully.

But, I decided I couldn't be elfed to lay waste to the building and wipe their entire families going back six generations out of existence, so I hit Wallyworld on the way home and bought two jars of spaghetti sauce ad a roll of paper towels, which came out to exactly five dollars.

Your Walmarts don't have gas stations? Most of them around here do, or at least have one nearby. Walmart owns the Murphy Express chain of gas stations and all of them should accept Walmart gift cards.

Walmarts up here in New England aren't like the ones further south...  They all have pharmacies, vision centers and photo places, but not all of them have automotive shops and there's only one around here that has a huge supermarket-sized food section - the others only have maybe three or four aisles.

None of them have gas stations.

My days off are split this week so I'm only off for tomorrow, which will likely be one of the last sunny days of the summer.

Thinking about setting my alarm to get up early so I can get out and enjoy the morning. Maybe head out somewhere that doesn't cost money.

First, your return to shore was not part of our negotiations nor our agreement so I must do nothing. And secondly, you must be a pirate for the pirate's code to apply and you're not. And thirdly, the code is more what you'd call "guidelines" than actual rules. Welcome aboard the Black Pearl, Miss Turner.

Good Morning,

This afternoon training for ceremonial duty next week...

Tomorrow Day off!!!!!

I also managed to get a week off in October, now trying if we can go somewehere or if we're going to visit Zoos and hiking a bit..

Boo for stress! Double-boo for stress from work!!

Also, Wolf Ram and Hart?
http://buffy.wikia.com/wiki/Wolfram_%26_Hart

*** That is indeed WOOF's Official Lawfirm***

You got me!

I have both Buffy and Angel series, My cellphone ringtone is the theme from Buffy and my Whatsapp ringtone is the theme from Angel.

Yes I'am an adult.. ::D:

Gave up on catching up again since I have work to do and won't have time to catch up tonight what with it being our 13th anniversary tonight. ::D: And being us, the plan we've made to celebrate our anniversary is that we're going to sit down and eat supper as a family (which is normal) and then we'll all sit down together and watch Captain America: Civil War.

Congrats on the anniversary!
Good way to celebrate.

Let me sum up what you may have missed:

Glitter, Coffee, Dogs, Cats, Recipes, Innapropiate Behaviour (mainly by Hamsters), Wolves, Barbarians, Evil Drow, some Red Buttons, One Boot..Some mad conversions and Tea.

I think that covers most of it.

I can't believe you forgot bacon.

****Walks to corner of the room holding a donkey hat.***

***Suddenly remembers a cunning reply.***

But it is always about Bacon, so I dind't have to remind her of that!!!

***Kicks Donkey hat and prances back into the thread.***

My son made his office dog friendly.

They could run free throughout the building, and it made a HUGE impact on employee morale.

Two rules though...

Dogs had to be socialized !  If they didn't play well with others, keep them at home.

They had to be "House Trained"... no Accidents !

Sometimes I would here my son announce over the speakers... Okay, whoever has my dog in their file drawer;

let her go, she needs to play with her brother !  I used to roll on the floor.

She would show up a minute later, flying into his office.

I really approve of folks that have their pets in their office.

I was amazed at how many folks had lap dogs asleep while they did their office thing.

I would love to have my Brutus with me all day.

*** Envisions the Commander's Uniform covered in Boxer Slobber and white hairs..****

**** Thinks about trying to have a conversation on the phone while Brutus snores louder than the F-16's ***

*** Laughs at the thought of Brutus who just drank water and shakes his mouth dry during a meeting***

*** Thinks about the whip like wagging tail that will happily clear all desks of useful equipment***

Hmmm ok maybe not a good idea..

having dinner...

3 eggs with sharp cheddar cheese and onions, toast with apricot preserves, and 1/2 pound of bacon.....

once again, I cooked to much bacon....

*** I just read you ate it all anyway, so you're off the hook this time***

*** Puts away the "Disciplinary Tool" ***

So, Fantasy Flight Games and GW are ending their partnership. All of the GW-license games that FFG makes are being discontinued as of February. It's quite the extensive list. I'm trying to figure out which games I should keep an eye on and try to grab before February, when production/distribution comes to a total halt.

Anyone have recommendations for which ones are worth grabbing?

I have no idea which ones they make [?]

Eh, it doesn't matter anyways at this point. I caved and bought Talisman and Fury of Dracula. Neither are blatantly GW, in that their neither are Warhammer or 40k, but they're also favorites that I've seen more than a few people recommend. Though it's going to be a shame if my friends enjoy Talisman and I can't get the expansions anymore.

*collapses on the channel* So my mom has had two surgeries. One was a success, one.... wasn't. But life is back to normal now. She's not doing -great- but she's able to leave the house and get around again. (For mom definitions of get around. She'll never be out of the wheelchair.)
