It's a mash-up of all the avengers into one being, found the pic online and though it'd be fun to share with you.

I don't know... The hair, chin, and ears definitely say "skrull" to me!

No idea who Skrull is, so maybe whoever designed it took some elements from that character?

These are the Skrull. An alien race of which some are shape-shifters.

 

Super-Skrull was originally just a Skrull war hero but their emperor had him made into their first super-being combining all the powers of the Fantastic Four.

 

The photo above looks like a version but with the gear and powers of the Avengers.

Wow you are right it does look a lot like the Skrull/Super-Skrull Super Avenger mash-up rather than fantastic 4. 

 

Still think you should paint one of your golems up to look like that!

All out of golems at the moment.

 

I got to get back to working on Hulkbuster.

 

But to confess a bit ... my original plan for the Large Earth Elemental was doing the Super-Skrull.  However it would have been the FF version.  And I would have had to add pointy ears.

 

I am quite happy with the Hulkbuster Iron Man direction.  I enjoyed the sculpt and quite pleased with the paint scheme so far.  Just a lot of real estate left on that monster to dirty up and then add more shading.

I'm glad you went the Iron Man direction as well...  although the Bones Clay Golem could be a good start to the above figure...  (twisted evil mind working here).

 

Can I ask when we get more pics of Hulkbuster?

I was hoping to switch back and forth between him and the Dark Maiden Saturday at Paint Day.  However, at this point my brush control is still out the window from this lack of feeling in my arm.  When you type code and use a mouse for a living it's hard to rest your arm/hand much.

 

As to doing an Avengers Super-Skrull Marvel Golem, I might look over the Battle Golem for conversion.  Converting the sword to Mjolnir and creating a Cap shield might be the way to go.  Sadly, it will have to wait as I am participating in too many exchanges/contests at the moment.  Ugh.

 

My hope is to make the Hulkbuster my entry into the They Might Be Giants contest by Inarah.

Yeah, crappy winter season (ironic given my screen name) and wasn't able to accomplish as much as I would have liked.
