It's about as close as dead as one can get without being dead.

We have seen some plastic Chinese vampires and just this week Roman on Massive Voodoo mentioned that he knows they're still working on it as he's friends of theirs and doing the painting guide\art book for the company. That being said I don't have a lot of faith in seeing anything more from this outside of the painting guide.

Got my resins from the core set today.

Also the distribution deal they mentioned in their last update is Asmodee, they were demoing\advertising it at Gencon.  Should be in stores for Christmas.

I really wish it wasn't Asmodee. They killed Hell Dorado because it wasn't "family friendly enough" for their company's image  and that was one of their own games. Some of the creatures from the spider demon expansion might not fit that "family friendly" company image (for a company who's name derives from one of the names for the devil :p).

I don't know if it's under the Asmodee brand or one of the other 500 game companies they own as at gencon all of them but FFG were grouped in one area.  Even Monoliths Conan, which one of the former CEOs of Asmodee works for, was unsure what label was distributing Conan.  They were saying that it was FFG in the US until corrected by backers.

Hell Dorado wasn't one of their games as far as I'm aware (outside of distributing the closterphobia game set in that world) and the company that killed it off was Ninja Division after they bought it off of cypher because the KSer really didn't give it the jolt people were wanting -- Sometimes games just don't get traction.

I mean that Asmodee (who created Hell Dorado - one of their main rules writers wrote it), killed it off by selling it to Cipher who didn't do very much with it/didn't treat it very well and then sold their souls to Ninja Division at which point they just ignored it 'til they had to admit they weren't supporting it any more.

It still gets played from time to time in my neck of the woods but is considered a dead game/finished game. I really should finish painting up my company of Crusaders.

I really would like to see Journey do well but I imagine the new distributers/license holders are more excited about new customers and less excited about honouring kickstarter pledges.

Not much more info, but here's the BGG thread. "Marrow signed with EDGE Entertainment, which was acquired by Asmodee earlier this year. I don't know that it affects anything substantively, but some people might like to know." https://boardgamegeek.com/thread/1834598/new-distributer-journey

EDGE Entertainment is a publisher in Spain with a large catalog of games. : https://boardgamegeek.com/boardgamepublisher/2973/edge-entertainment
