CashWiley
I like nudity. It's what we are.
Audles
Indeed. Happy to cover up one or two minis. That's not hard. But buying into a totally new game, with a crap ton of minis, and want to work on them when there's funner things to do with my life... Not so much. I don't imagine I was alone. And don't get me wrong, nakedness is awesome. But let's throw some man package and barbarian 6-packs out there too if we're going to do it. Just lady tits and elf for the hell of it is boring in my opinion. Not to mention incredibly impractical from a "this is my badass army and we're fighting in armored combat" scenario.
Audles
Also to add: not judging people who bought into the game. It looked fun and I hope it's wildly successful. But that was the reason I didn't.

Not to mention incredibly impractical from a "this is my badass army and we're fighting in armored combat" scenario. 1) Weren't there plenty of topless and/or minimally-clothed male figures too? The Wrath, Skorza (males are wearing noticeably less than the females), the Great Horn (and the Rathor and Longhorns, to a lesser extent), and others. Also, how come I don't hear so much complaining about the nipple clamps on the topless Union Boss (male figure)? To me, that seems way more extreme than any of the female figures... 2) At least the developers gave an explanation of why the Pelagarths don't bother wearing armor (and the Pelagarths seem to be the target of most of the ire) - they have enchanted masks which make their skin highly resilient. Not everyone may care for that explanation, but at least it wasn't completely ignored. 3) Is it nudity if the minis are technically covered? To my knowledge, none of the WoK minis show actual nudity (and really aren't much more revealing than a bikini). Kingdom Death, on the other hand, has nudity! If someone doesn't like the aethetics, that's a perfectly valid opinion and doesn't really need to be defended. It seems like some people are just trying to turn it into an issue with female sexuality or something. Sorry, this isn't directed at anyone in particular (especially Audles, whom I quoted to reply to his points). It's just that some of the objections to WoK have seemed a little over-the-top and it's been bugging me. I heard there were all these nudes on WoK, but when I went to look, I couldn't find many! This isn't to say I like the figures; quite the opposite really. The whole aesthetic doesn't do it for me, which is why I didn't back it. But all of the hate towards scantily clad warriors is old-hat, and kind of boring. -Dave

Sorry if I was one of the ones bugging you, over all I really liked WOK, and really wanted to back it. the game play was really thought out, it was fast paced and fun. I just wasnt for me personally. a lot of the time I have my little nephews who want to come over and play games with me or some of the teens that I work with enjoy miniatures so knowing that I felt it wasn't the game for me, but I will admit I am a bit on the conservative side.
Doug Sundseth
Any official, semi-official, or completely fictional speculation on what the story will be with international orders and international shipping? in an effort to alleviate the delays of international shipping, Reaper has booked space with Space-X for distribution from the international space station. the advances in global positioning satellites and orbital insertion technology means your house can now be targeted from space. with this new plan, it is expected that all international deliveries should arrive simultaneously. (you may want to consider the optional insurance) Well, there is an insurance company advertising its coverage of space debris damage, but if you ask for orbital bombardment, that might be considered "friendly" damage. Be very specific when you talk to your insurance agent. But wouldn't the build up of heat from the kinetic energy be a convenience as it would save us a step in preparation? Upon delivery we could immediately put them in cold water to restore the minis shape. @Ladystorm, @Darsc, I like the way you think. I'll be settling up a paddling pool of cold water in the yard and providing it's gps coordinates as my delivery address. So many levels of efficiency and geek-cool tied up in one super-heated bundle! Well, GPS is accurate to within about 3m with military grade equipment (less so with civilian stuff), so you might need a rather big pool. And that assumes that you're using the $10K terminal guidance package. If you're trusting to a ballistic delivery, the best you could reasonably hope for is a CEP of about 100m. I think you're going to need a bigger pool.

Legally, yes. This is a loophole I have been eager to exploit. Good luck getting that image out of your head.
