smokingwreckage
Urban Legend Buglips. An idea whose time has come.
Unit04
Maybe Kev Adams will be healed up enough to sculpt Buglips! :) Metal Buglips, like the KS Sophie. We could have a regular or an Urban Legend (*) version too. (*) Not sure if you should get a $25 refund or have to pay $25 if you don't want this mini. They could raise a lot of money that way. "For an extra $25, we will NOT include the UL Buglips with your minis. For an extra $50, we won't include the color 'Buglips Stank' with your pledge"
Evilhalfling
Which begs the question, dear Forumites, if you counted every DHBones model into one of either "character" or "NPC/Monster" category, what would YOUR classifications/ratios be? How close is my count to yours (collectively)? I actually started out sorting my mini-case this way. probably the ghoul queen got tagged as a possible PC, while all the townsfolk went as "Monsters" but I quickly jettisoned this strategy, switching 4 categories, 3 of them in the black case I got from the KS . 1. stuff I want to paint right now! (now finished painting) 2. stuff I will paint later, (currently in progress) 3.stuff that I may or may not want to paint, but still fits in the case. 4. stuff that does not fit in the case/ will never want to paint (still in the vampire shipping box) Edit: Cause this thread needs more pictures (Exception UL Buglips models/sketches) Edited August 27, 2013 by Evilhalfling

CashWiley
Did you go around measuring other PCs when you were the Undertaker?
Last Knight
...I kinda wanna use "mom with kids" or "sweeping grandmother" for a PC now...
smokingwreckage
Undertaker as PC must be in the top ten signs your GM is a hard-ar$3. I'd call any human, elf, gnome, etc., a PC., including dark elves. Everything else is a Monster. Including Orcs. Sorry Spike.
araziel
Pretty much how I count them. Even if they are supposed to be "bad" I'd still not count them among the monsters. I sorted mine in bags this way. Even necromancers, as long as they don't have a skull for a head, end up in the character baggie. My favorites from this KS are probably the giants and a few of the other medium-large beasts. The truly gigantic stuff is cool and all, but won't see as much use, and without a airbrush they'll be a chore to paint. I hope we get the frost giant warriors/bodyguards etc in the upcoming one.
Doug Sundseth
I generally consider townsfolk to be NPCs but all the elves (they're only dark after you paint them) as PCs. FWIW, I'd probably also consider really static fighter types as NPCs, because they're most useful to me as guards and bystanders. Dynamic medium and small humanoid-shaped creatures (including reptile folk, kobolds, orcs, whatever) are sort of an edge case for me, useful for either PCs or NPCs. Idiosyncratic, I know, but there you go.
buglips*the*goblin
Buglips already has a sculptor and that's all the information you're getting.
Girot
1:3 seems pretty accurate so far. "Monsters" or "Mobs" or whatever monicer you want to give them I typically will buy between 2-5 of something I intend to feed my party. Monsters are far easier to throw at them than groups of NPCs (from a GMing pov). Buglips already has a sculptor and that's all the information you're getting. If you're serious than I am already sold on this next KS regardless of what's offered. They should melt down whats left of the P-65 minis and offer a lead-version upgrade for like $15. cmorse
Right now, DHBones has 60-70 Persons* and 126-136 Monsters* - which is about 1:3 PC:Monster ratio and isn't too bad, really. Isn't that a 1:2 ratio?
Eilif
Is there any report on if there's a bit more QC this time around. Most of my Bones were great, but there were more soft faces, skinny hands and other flawed figs than I would have expected. I'll probably buy in again, especially if the CAV bones are part of it, but I'll be a bit more wary this time.
Girot
I've decided that I'm going to make 'zombie heroes' out of the models that didn't survive Bonesification very well.
