Uggh, I'd forgotten Stonehaven Elves........ at least I'm not that keen on elves, maybe I'll be ok..... I'm not keen on Gnomes either but got everything.... damnit.......

I've got lots of elves but I'm dying to see Stonehaven's take on them. I've loved everything they've put out so far so I'm willing to take it on faith that their elves will be fun too. I hope they do a twist on the Christmas elf like they did the grumpy garden(er) gnome.

For me,

To back I'll need some sort of reassurance from Reaper that they've learned lessons from the first Kickstarter and they'll be addressing the communication issues. They can lie through their teeth - there's no way I'll know till way too late if they're being honest about it or not. But if the answer is "Well, we thought we did a good job and we're not reviewing comms for this one" I'd rather not bother, thanks.

The rest I'll handle myself. I'll use a redirection service to have my shipment to New Zealand sent from the US so I don't get treated like a pariah again. And I'll consider 2 orders - one base set, and one with the options.

That will address the majority of my concerns, but the one thing I can't compensate for is communication from Reaper, and without it I'll lose hours, days, maybe months of productivity. If that's going to be the case it'll be cheaper and faster for me tobuy from a 3rd party.

I, for one like the Chronoscope Bones. I'd like to see more of them in KS2:BBB. My gaming group is fairly well rounded and we like games (and minis) of all flavours, not just fantasy.

That's my opinion as well.

The Chronoscope Bones were a great addition, all fantasy all the time can get pretty boring.

I like Chronoscope too, but I'd still put them in as add-ons only.

You get nearly the same advertising effect from showing them off as from giving them away as free samples (which is what they amount to if the customer isn't interested in them specifically). And you get less annoyance from people who want a different flavor of free ice cream.

I think there's a place for chronoscope, but personally, I'd like to see more unusual stuff. The military types and space soldiers are cool, but aren't something I'd use in a game, and aren't really interesting enough that I'd want to paint them up for my own collection. Lets get that dancing prospector, or the grey aliens, or the dwarf in the giant Steampunk suit this time! The cool stuff that nobody else makes.

My old DM used to have an old Ral Partha Grim Reaper figure. It was the only miniature he ever painted. This symbolized Death, and Death was always present on the table. Just off the edge of the hex board, near the DM.

Death was a threat. A threat to any player who got out of line. Always watching, waiting.

If Reaper makes the grey aliens in Bones, I will be ecstatic. Death is overrated. Overdone. But Grey aliens? Now that's weird.

I'll put them prominently close, and call them "The Probians". Don't think that rule works the way I say? The Probians. Cheat with dice? Probians. Touch one of my minis with greasy cheeto fingers?

Axe murder.

But outside of that, it'll be The Probians.

The Pulp SciFi Mouslings and the Tentacled Space Horror!

Some sci-fi would be nice but the Chronoscape backlash was a bit OTT so I can understand why they might want to focus on just fatnasy this time. I think it's the difference between people who were backing it because it was Reaper and the people who were backing it for a load of fantasy figures (not that there isn't any crossover but initially each person backed because of one of those reasons)

It was way over the top. And for being free minis, I think totally uncalled for. What? Something different for free? RAAAGE.

Made me want to go hunting in the wild with a tranquilizer gun.

"Hate! Rage! Anger!"

*THWIP*

"Peace! Love! Sleep now!"

There's more than one way to sow contentedness. *loads dart*

What the goblin failed to mention was that he shot himself in the foot with that dart.

I totally agree with this. Unless they state how they're going to communicate better, I won't back KS2. If they say they're going to improve and don't, I'm never going to back a KS3 or later.
