Super Kickstarter 2 Turbo

That's the best name I've heard yet! ::D:

Thanks. I'm trying to come up with a new one every time I mention it, in the hopes that one of them will stick.

Ah, the ol' Buglips' underpants method... Throw them at the wall and see what sticks. I like it! (From afar)

I'm wondering if this may not be mid to late November. The tax implications if it ends before the end of the year could be huge, if it ends after January 1st then there is more time to work it into a capital investment and not have the same tax implications. I don't think it will be in September at all, serious planning only started a couple of weeks ago. I suppose mid to end of October is possible still.

Except that wouldn't they be able to use the 2013 expenses from KS1 production and delivery to offset whatever they bring in with KS2:The Rebonesening? It would seem to me like 2012 is the only year where they had to take it in the shorts.

The PDFs held absolutely no bearing in my various equations. At all. It was a fun and appreciated extra that was a convenient gift and had no bearing on the business end of things (as far as I'm concerned).[/size]

This. Same as any goal that didn't really pique my interest. And there were a few of those, mostly because miniatures I find in the catalog or online store don't seem to be as awesome as they turn out to be when I have them in hand. The Manor ogre and ettin; the old Ogre Chieftan; all of the giants except the Storm Giants pack we got. Now that I have them, I love them, but the Fire Giants and Frost Giants didn't excite me.

On that level, they were the same as the PDFs. "This doesn't thrill me, so let's get past this and see something awesome."

Exactly. Especially toward the end, some of the goals seemed underwhelming TO ME, and I even commented as much. But total value had long since been surpassed, and I also noted in the comments that much of the 'disappointment' wasn't due to the failure of the late goals, but that the first few dozen goals were so amazing the level of excitement couldn't keep increasing all the way through.

And for every goal I wasn't thrilled about, there were thousands of other backers that loved it. Which made me like it, even if i didn't like the models. And for every goal I wasn't thrilled about, there were 10 other goals that made me squeeee.

So, I just found this topic today, after it had grown to 48 pages. And here was my initial reaction:

As for hopes and dreams, most of what was mentioned on here already, One Boot was reading my mind, I think (more translucent elementals, spell effects and clear 'invisible' PCs, more different giants, Warlord by the score, more monsters, Anhurian and other men-at-arms/fodder, etc.).

Actually, all these things were requested loudly and often during part 1, and knowing Reaper, I'm pretty sure they made a list of requests and kept it. In fact, I remember Reaper peeps at the end of the last one stating that they had mounted figs planned but it didn't work out. I hope they worked out any kinks with those and will include them as well.

November would be a bad month. Two new consoles, tons of new video games, and tack on Black Friday. Bones will have a lot of competition for money if it comes out in November.

Part of me is glad I bought so many of those WotC prepainted minis back in the day. Selling a few of them paid for my Bones I pledge (hell I sold a huge lot early last year and paid for my new floors and sewer repair!!) so selling a few more will easily see me through this next Bones KS!

Really? I have a ton (like 2500+) D&D minis. Maybe I should look into that...

I sold 200+ WOTC Minis this last week and made close to two hundred dollars and most of them where commons and uncommons. Heck I even sold some old college text books this week and made another 300 dollars (and I have been out of college for 8 years) so I am set and ready to go! lets get this KS starteed

That's a good point, it depends on if the IRS decides they will take their chunk up front and then issue a tax refund after 2013 taxes have been reported which means you won't see that money until February at the earliest.

I think at least shipping will be a little more realistic.

I mean a flat $25 for 4 Vampires, 4 cases and all the other add-ons? That was really to good to be true (and yet it was).

I'll be happy to pay a flat $50 or $75 taxes included if they send from within the EU.

I picked up an extra shift at the hospital last night for some serious incentive pay, so my next KS is basically paid for if I do about the same amount of damage on this one. I'm looking at picking up an extra shift on Saturday during the day just in case I go a little crazy.
