Well, I'm also a Mantic fan, and they're running their Mars Attacks KS in October, so I really hope Bones II starts a little bit later... preferably late enough to be in a different pay cheque...

Very true.

Also True for Stonehavens Elf kickstarter and Patrick Keith's retro spaceship kickstarter.

It's a nice dream. WotC would never cut into their own mini sales to be involved in a Bones KS. I'd be nice to see some more Paizo minis, but for the most part Reaper can avoid any issues simply by using different names. We all have imaginations and can read between the lines as it were.

Correction......WotC would never cut into their own ability to drive a miniatures line into the ground..... :D

Bleh, Considering that I was hoping to get in on a paint set or two plus some mini's I may have to beg the Mister into expanding my budget to 200$ <_< Begging and Incentives must begin immediately.

o.O

Sometimes the single life sucks...

Marriage life doesn't suck. It's just I just bought a new mechanical keyboard and like 20$ worth of paints so putting down another 200$ for a ks is stretching his patience on my spending. :P

$1,000,000 in the first 24 hrs! Minimum!

That'd be amazing. However I agree that there will be plenty of negative nellies who want to complain that there aren't as many minis in the base "Vampire" level - naturally b/c we haven't advanced the campaign enough to have levels unlocked. But yeah, they'll slink in as another poster stated.

Let's remember too, that those both have very practical gaming functions. Familiars are popular in D&D generally, and in 4.0 at least, "summon hellhound" is a fairly popular low(ish) level wizard spell. Often, it's not going to be the hobby painter community that drives sales, but the broader gaming community that wants cool things for their games.

Oh yes. I want all the monsters from the AD&D monster manual and then the tome of horrs stuff...

This please. Yes.

I choose to believe he's sitting there ready to press that big red "launch campaign" button. Right now. DO IT. PRESS IT!

humph..

Reaper is going to have a lot of competition for the $$$ as well.

Mierce Miniatures did a fantastic job on their KS.

Stoneheaven did a fantastic job on both their KS.

If Confrontation comes out in plastic during this time, I'm out of Reaper and into Confrontation. I skipped War of Kings for Reaper and that had a ton of miniatures at the $200 level. I skipped a few others as well waiting for the Bones 2 knowing that money only goes so far.

I'm sure Reaper will be able to provide a lot of real value to the buyers and knows what their doing. Their initial approach will be a key factor in determining how many, if even wanted, foreign sales they get. I hear those are the ones with the most sour of the grapes.

all of those projects together raised only a few 100k (with the exception of wrath of kings that did 720K) which is nothing compared to the 3.5 million reaper did. I do agree confrontation would be a big contender but I doubt we will see it before summer due to the high success of Wrath of kings and them not filling orders at least until the spring.

But marriage is awesome because it gives your two extra hands to hold your models together while the glue dries.
