VIGNETTE TITLE...MOONSHINE (NOVELTY VIGNETTE)...

NOTE...I have had this cute Reaper female wearing daisy duke shorts for a long time, but never really got any ideas about how to use her in a vignette. The other day I saw an art sketch by an artist named Dodion and the idea for my vignette " sang " to me. I finally had the right concept setting for my daisy duke girl. This is the making of my (MOONSHINE) vignette.

PHOTO 1. Parts from my giant parts box to make the moonshine still.

PHOTO 2. REAPER (Bobby Jo, Redneck Princess # 50200)...my daisy duke honey.

PHOTO 3. Rattlesnake made from plastic sprue.

PHOTO 4. Rattlesnake painted as a yellow phase timber rattler...crawling through the forest floor debris.

PHOTO 5 & 6. Moonshine still assembled and placed.

PHOTO 7 & 8. My daisy duke honey painted (front & back view).

PHOTO 9 - 12. Views of the finished vignette.

This of course goes into my private vignette collection. I had a great time building this little piece...hope that you like the end results.

Once again Catdancer, you amaze me.

Everytime I open the Reaper Forum I expect you to offer me something like this. And each time you give me something else.

Your vignettes always remind me of American authors (be that a coincidence or not), as soon as I saw this one I was invaded by the nosthalgia of Faulkner's or Caldwell's novels.

So finally got the courage to post some minis that I have finished over the last few months. Here are some of the Yuan-Ti Nagendra metal minis I have always really liked. I have the archer and halberd still to paint up that I have from my most recent order, but am taking a break from the scaly creatures for a bit. I know I need to work on my highlighting but any other feedback is welcome.

This is Vilthiss Snake Champion from Mierce's Banelords Range.
      Resin.
Base is made with a Greenstuffworld Rollerpin some skulls and a few of Ristul's Fantasy Market's resin bugs.

After taking the pics I noticed a little too much purple gums on the upper side of the teeth, it's fixed.

This guy has some belts and buckles, If I didn't know better I would suspect it was a Klocke sculpt..

      NEW PICS ADDED

Fixed the teeth and added a reflection dot.
First 5 pics are the new ones.

Did a little painting today to calm my nerves before the con.  Experimented with several brands of metallic paint.  Photos are not great, but you get the idea.

Here is the snake man warrior I finished a few weeks back.  I was having issues with the yellow belly since the paint was very chalky but I did what I could.  I am happy with the shading and tiny reflection on the gem on his bracer, it was my first time doing that, even though it's basically invisible from 3 feet away.  Let me know what you think!

Enjoyed painting these but can't say I applied any great magic or too much time to them. They were all really quick to complete, working up from coloured primer with washes then bone or cream or pink for details.
