Thank you everyone for your praise. It has made me feel very very good about the effort I put into it and I cannot thank you enough. On a suggestion from one of you, I am attempting to enter it into the dragon painting contest that I guess Reaper has going in another forum. I messaged the thread owner in the hopes he will reply on where exactly I am supposed to post it, but I did add it to the inspiration gallery at http://www.reapermini.com/InspirationGallery/77190/latest/ where apparently one can give a thumbs up if they think it's cool enough. I don't know if thumbs up is how the winner is determined though or if I have to actually take the model in at some point. I've never entered anything like this before so I have no clue how it works.

Anyone have any advice?

Thanks again!

My understand is to enter you just have to post your image in the appropriate entry thread (once it is hosted somewhere, eg the inspiration gallery) and judging is based on those images. The model doesnt go anywhere. And the competition isnt technically "Reaper's" competition as such - it is run by the community here, based around reaper products, with community judges. Reaper does, though, sponsor some prizes for the competition in the interests of helping out loyal fans, rewarding effort, and a bit of positive PR.

(Have a look at the Painting Excuses Pulp competition threads in the same section for how other people entered that competition)

Not much to add to what everyone else said. Phenomenal job. I really like the color scheme you selected, and your attention to detail on the painting really paid off. It's a beautifully coherent piece, and that's before the lighting effects, which just elevate it to another level.

An as FYI, since it's sounds like you haven't posted much here, a side benefit of posting in the Inspiration Gallery is that Reaper will sometimes select pictures from there to highlight the models in their store. Your paint job is now shown in their online store (and personally, I like your paint job the best of the 3 shown currently).

I was thrilled the first time one of my models made it into the store; it's a great confidence booster and validation that your work is appreciated and worth the time put into it.

Thanks! You are correct that I haven't posted much here as I am a very new Reaper fan. I've only painted a handful of pieces over the years, and almost all of those were War Machine and a handful of Warhammer minis back in the day. My friends stopped playing war machine so I had nothing to paint until they got me involved in the Kick Starter campaign and my wife and I fell in love with the models. Nethyrmaul was hers actually but she saw me keep eyeing it and finally gave it to me provided I, "Bring it to life."...or un-life as the case may be!

Thank you for the praise, I do so appreciate it!
