buglips*the*goblin
IF IT HELPS MOTIVATE YOU, I *AM* WATCHING THIS THREAD. With tremendous interest, in fact. I'm doing a Nethy myself and want to finish in a week, so I feel much less daunted now. Awesome! With Nethyrmaul, the real question of time spent will be how much of the gaps (if present) you can live with. With Kaladrax, most of them tend to hide well. My ribcage came in two separate pieces (there's glue residue, so I guess it just didn't hold) and doesn't quite fit exactly, but it's pretty easy to cover. Nethyrmaul might be more of a challenge. But at least this WIP might help you get some sweet looking rocks. Non-picture update: I lost a lot of time today, tracking down my lost Reaper order with my replacement Colossal Skeleton (frequent readers will remember I carved mine up to steal his base for Deathsleet). This was showing as "delivered", but I didn't have it. And the post office had no record of it. Most disconcerting! Anyway, eventually it was discovered the package had indeed been delivered to the package slot of the community mailbox, the loader just forgot to give me the key to said box in my mailbox. Mr. Colossal is now back and looks good. Some of this was unblistered, taken from Kickstarter stocks (I was kinda hoping to see if Mr. Colossal would fit on a blister, I'm curious about that). This presented a small problem - I ordered a retail set of (3) Mummies, but only got one KS bagged one. And I don't even know if it's worth emailing to complain about. Probably not, I have to buy paint soon anyway I'll just add more mummies. But if you're reading this, Bryan, remind folks to check the quantity where retail differs from kickstarter quantity to save on possible complaints and replacement. Bones are cheap enough and my orders are regular enough for me not to bother unless it's big, but I'm probably an atypical customer. All that out of the way, in about half an hour I'm going for a big push to try and finish all the base-browning before sunrise and make up for lost time. It's getting tighter, but the game's still not over. Never give up, never surrender! Someday I'll be Hokage!

Pragma
Buglips, you are the best kind of crazy. Good idea to do those bits as greenery, I'm digging the jungle theme.
Hellcow
Don't you feel time gaining on you? It's like a predator; it's stalking you. Oh,you can try and outrun it with quick coats, dry brushing, new paints but in the end, time is going to hunt you down... and make the miniature late.

buglips*the*goblin
The body browning is finally done! Wow, that was pretty brutal. Hopefully the tail bits won't be as bad. Although in either case, I suspect I may win up with a severe case of vertebrain. This makes 4 pieces fully browncoated, 9 to go. I think. But the body was definitely the big meanie of the bunch.

I liked this because Malcolm McDowell, not because you say it'll be late. Jinxing the Buglips is strictly forbidden, and carries the most severe penalty. Laundry duty.
