What should I buy?

(God, I hope this is good place for this topic..)

 

Like many of us who backed the KS, I got a store credit for my messed up minis, plus some extra. I'm trying to debate what minis I should pick up. I'm not afraid to pick up a mini I'll never use in a game if it looks cool and/or looks fun to paint. I can't really afford big minis, and I don't care it they're Bones or normal metals.

 

So, you princes (and princesses) of the Reaper Forums, hit me with your suggestions!

Yeah. You get 2x store credit for any missing/damaged minis. If you're missing parts, they'll send those instead. You might want to check out this thread for more info.

I am personally torn. I am debating getting the stuff that I am missing or going with something different, like an add on that I didn't get.

 

That Frost Worm and Colossal Skeleton are calling my name for some reason...

 

I am currently leaning towards those two minis plus the deep ones that I almost picked up but didn't.

 

That still leaves me lacking some mummies and a dwarf though...

I'm going to pick up a replacement of Ape-X, which was miscast. I want to get just one of the female NOVAs, but they only come in the 3-pack, so I'm going to just write that one off. When you add in the NOVA guy from the Chronoscope set, I have enough for three 5-person squads which is all I need.

 

Oh, I forgot about the Deep Ones. And, I kind of want more mummies... Damn you, Reaper! You make too many cool things!

Huh. Makes me wish I'd got more miscasts. As it was it was just the Cowgirl With No Nose (rejected original protagonist for The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly.)

Gosh, it looks like all my sci-fi dudes were terribly miscast so as to appear as though someone has sliced bits off them with a hobby knife. Golly golly golly. Guess I'll be needing a whoooooooooooole bunch of fantasy monsters. How regrettable!

I'm partial to girls in trench coats so Andrew Rae's minis from Reaper are worth a look

That almost makes me sad that I was missing nothing and all my minis are whole and complete. But not really, because I'll just get everything I want anyway eventually

Do you have any particular themes that you like?

 

I would use "free" money for things that would be fun to paint/display, like Mouslings, the Hell Hound, Ghoul Queen and Sucker Punch inspired minis; cool looking things I wouldn't normally use for a game.

I pick up the most random things, so no theme at all.

I have been wanting Ivanetta mini for a long time, but the cost has kept me away. I do plan on doing all the not-Sucker Punch ones, but I made myself promise not to buy them until I do the four elemental supers (sand woman, torrent, inferno and twister) because my queue is huge right now.
