PROJECT 1

Stonehaven Gnomes

Deathknight and Paladin

This Deathknight gave me fits. The sculpt was a bit awkward, with one bit blending into another and the way his head was placed on his body didn't seem to make sense until it was painted. I tried to paint an Ice Power Sword for him using wet blending. I'm not sure if I got that right, so if someone knows how an Ice Sword should look, please tell me.

I used broken up bits of cork board to make the rocks he's standing on. I cut the heads off two BONES skellies to get the skulls to put in the base.

She was simple and straightforward to do. I left her base plain on purpose as she's a Paladin and I wanted her to be less "girly" than Aithne the Priestess.

The family so far. Four down and 1 to go.

I *LOVE* your basing on these little guys Anne. The blue steel NMM on the death knight looks wonderful as well. Were it me, I might punch up the highlights on the skeleton just a wee bit, but that's being really nitpicky.

I think you're right about the skellie. This figure really gave me fits and when I was done with it, I thought "I never want to see this bleedin' thing again" so I stopped. :;):

Keep em up. I don't think I've seen a fully painted gnome set to date. :)

I'm going to finish this set for sure. They're really charming figures and I hope to see everyone else get theirs done.

I'm simply blown away by the exquisite amount of detail you're able to put onto these teeny little figures! The bases are lovely and compliment each one so well! I love the death knight's ice sword, it looks all glowy and icy and cool! :D

Beautiful work as always, and I can't wait to see the next one! :)

Huzzah!
