Fantastic as always.

 

But from your wonderful goggles (Which I am ogling as well) I think I am beginning to understand where I am doing my gems wrong. I am trying to do too clean of a shading gradient, while the hard (but well blended) color transitions are better suited for giving that cabochon like look.

These are so adorable that I may have to pick some up. Was this the company that also made Chibi minis of the D&D cartoon?

 

No, that was Impact Miniatures (I have a few of theirs from Gencon, but I haven't gotten any of them painted just yet).

 

This is by Sodapop Miniatures (the game they're from is called Super Dungeon Explore). They're all the same scale (it is clear to me that Impact's line is meant to be compatible).

 

Since it is for the board game, you have to get the game/expansions to get the minis, while Impact sells their as singles.
