MatrissaTheEnchantress
Well Matrissa this is an open thread post it! I am showing my old minis in the hopes others would join in Unfortunately, I've misplaced one of the small boxes I kept my miniatures in and it happens to be the one that had almost all of the PC figures that I had painted in it! I've been looking for it on and off for, oh, probably a year now. I think I might know where she is though, as I kept her separate from the "general riff-raff" that I used to represent NPCs....
72moonglum
Random Dragon from Ral Partha. Let this be a leasson to everyone to put your minis away safely. As you can see mine needs touch ups. That's the same dragon sculpt that 72moonglum is currently working on as a Gold Dragon! (WIP Gold Dragon, from pinning to hopefully completion...) I posted it in honor of what he is doing. I painted that over 20 years ago Thanks very much for the tribute! I think I've got to be your topic's biggest fan! Love all the stuff you've put out and hope you have hundreds and thousands more!

I hate when that happens. I have the same problems; I know I put them in a safe place lol
72moonglum
So after enjoying this topic so long, figure I should throw something out there. Here are three old Ral Partha figures that I painted some time in the eighties probably between 1982-1985. One is from a set of Necromancers that they actually still sell from Tom Meier, the other one was from a devils or demon set, and the last one is a half orc shaman/witch doctor/cleric figure, which way back when I ended up just painting him like a normal skin colored person type character. Anyhow, I'll grab some more later as well... Enjoy!

Btw that is some good painting for back then Edited November 3, 2013 by Grimreaper71
Grimreaper71
Okay don't forget this is titled The good, The Bad and The Fugly. Well here we go. Most of these minis were uninspiring and I think I was just going through the motions. I tended to paint my minis into armies, so they yellows and blues are the good guys. Before I post them here are a few slavers

MatrissaTheEnchantress
IMG_1216.jpgI have this one, and she's even painted. She represents a character from probably the longest running campaign I was ever involved with and is painted in blue & yellow to match the uniform of the mercenary guild she belonged to - The Order of the Lion Blades. I should try to find her... Well Matrissa this is an open thread post it! I found her! She was painted using Testors enamels and given a gloss coat, but she was also used regularly to game with, so you can see there has been a significant amount of "wear and tear" - there were silver spots painted on her armour because she was supposed to be wearing studded leather.
