Tarrasque is no match for a well-handled kobold clan.

It's gotten to the point now where if my players hear rumors of 'small, orange-hued dog like humanoids', or even 'middling, somewhat pink hued, cat like lizardmen' they turn around and go home.

Kobolds (and Goblins) are the best enemies.

They can be funny, but a coordinated and prepared big group of them is terrifying.

Love the little buggers.

On this note, more Kobolds in Bones would be awesome.

Hmm, think we can get another $13K overnight to unlock Cinder?

Certainly hope so! I've been a bit discouraged by the last couple of days and the slow progress, but I need to remind myself that there are still weeks to go, and that the big press typically happens at the end. I just hope we don't get TOO many backers this time that add all their stuff in the post-KS ordering system!

Yeah, given the EXPLOSION we saw on the first day, I'm not surprised that things have (relatively) slowed down so drastically. My expectation is that the pledge amount will slowly trickle upward over the next few weeks, and then we'll see another massive surge the last couple of days. I'd like to help it grow, but I've already pledged for our absolute max, which might actually be getting a bit smaller depending on what the third Core Expansion stretch goal stretch goal turns out to be.

Huzzah!

I mean, progress is relative. There are a heck of a lot of kickstarters for whom a few hundred thousand dollars per day would be incredible. And that's after a million on the first day!

To be honest we didn't hit 100k the last 24h period. I expect it will stay a bit lower until the final days, somewhere around 50-60k pr day, maybe 100k with exciting goals etc. That's still 1-2 million + the last three days which will likely give 1.5 million by itself.

I asked why they renamed the Silver Dragon a fire dragon and Bryan's response was 'Ooops?'

I'm just surprised we've not seen a lot of people saying they don't want a fire dragon, they want a silver dragon....

.... with a bow.

I'm not sure if anyone has pointed this out yet, but with the government shut down in progress, it's likely that even US backers are going to have to pay for shipping...or drive to Denton to pick up their minis.

Well, I don't actually think the amount of money entering a KS is actually all that important. It's the *rate* that's important, I think. Creators want to adjust the *timing* of their stretch goals for whatever their objective is. Want more funding? Ask for less money between stretch goals. Want to slow down funding (yes, more funding is not always a good thing)? Ask for more money between them. I'm pretty sure Reaper intentionally set the first day stretch goals closer together because a project gets more publicity if it gets a lot of money and breaks more stretch goals on the first day and, in the previous KS, money didn't start coming in until 100 or so miniatures was reached. The "problem" with stretch goals is that they're finite -- at some point, a project loses a lot of money when it gives away too much stuff. That's why we have the expansion (and add-ons). At $150, Reaper can add more stretch goals to the project so they don't lose money. More stretch goals over 30 days means less funding needed between them, which, of course, backers want.

Be careful with the political stuff before you summon the ladystorm.

Only 6000$ish to go for the next reveal, I figure it's the last part of core expansion #1.

Bet it'll cause lots of mad comments, maybe I'll just stay here today :P

The toughest fae I ever saddled my players with was a pack of puppies.

The PCs took in a dog from some NPCs which turned out to be pregnant. The puppies' sire was a Wild Hunt hound.

They started talking before the end of the first week.

There were the normal complications of caring for a litter of puppies and their mother while adventuring.

Then there was the trouble of dealing with a half-dozen friendly, amoral, powerful little beings.

Sample dialogue:

puppy: "Can we have a cow?"

PC: "No."

puppy: "Uh-oh."
