I am really glad that Bryan and the Reaper bunch have decided to handle the updates they way they are this time. It was a bit on the crazy insane side that immediate updates were the standard during KS1. It's much better for everyone if Bryan isn't killing himself staying up all hours of the night to wait on a stretch goal. It's good for the backers to respect that the Reaper folks have lives outside of the office.

I am unfortunately thinking about cancelling, or going to $1 and get just a $10 add-on as a token gesture to Reaper.

 

After all, looking at the Core set, there are like... 30 minis I really like? Based on current Bones prices, they would be about 80USD when they hit the store eventually, and for that amount right now Reaper offers free shipping internationally, or at least I can ship it to a friend in Canada and pick it up. I makes no sense to pay more than double that amount for an extra 90 minis I am "meh" about.

Exactly, the first day and last day I understand the immediate updates but with 21 days to go I would rather have these guys rested a bit and enjoying themselves just as much as we all are. I want them professional of course but I think we all need to remeber to offer them respect too. This is like a 25 day long day after Thanksgiving sale of crazy. Can't begin to imagine the work it takes.

 

 

@Willen I would at least wait until they get the shipping estimator out for you ROW guys. I would hate to see you cancel a core set and get your ship date pushed back a ton only to find out shipping wasn't going to be as bad as you thought it might.

Not to mention we're going to have loads more stuff unlocked by the end. If it gets to the last day or two and you really can't justify it, then do what you gotta' do, but I'd hold out for a while longer yet.

Yep it does. I guess it all depends what you plan to use the minis for. I finally got a D&D game going again and I am hoping to make it last for awhile so I like the idea of having a huge variety to choose from so for that I like all the minis offered pretty much. I am currently sitting at a $300 pledge with a definite $272 of stuff I want. If they offer more cool stuff I will have to up my pledge.

Keep in mind Willen, the the vampire reward from KS1 was $100 pledge, plus shipping. But the retail of a vampire box now is $400. So even on the top end of shipping and taxes it was 50% off retail purchase price.

Apologies, I have not been on the boards in a while. I am starting this new thread as I dont want to read 109 pages of the other thread nor do I want to get lost on page 110...

What is it going to take to get some mounted minis to be added to the kickstarter?

 

 

I admit I have been holding off on joining this second kickstarter for until I start to see:

 

Lion Lancers

Light Lancers

Nefsokar horse archers

Overlord Chevaliers

Bloodstone gnome beetle riders

Dwarven bear riders

etc....

 

I was so sure that at least some of those models would have been included into the second kickstarter..

 

Guess I was wrong..

 

So, changing to the direct approach....please... add some mounted models to the kickstarter.

Yes, I am going by the actual current price of Bones on the Store for human-sized and monsters to evaluate the cost.

 

And I get it. But other than supporting Reaper, after the excitement, perhaps it makes more sense to just spend 60USD and get some nice Bones now from the store with free shipping, and keep buying from there.

 

A discount is only a discount if you actually meant to buy the thing in the first place. If not, it is just an illusion of consumism ;)

Has anyone identified the dragon hatchlings yet? I'm wondering which metal figures they are based on.
