And, finally caught up on this beast. You all have been an excitable, chatty bunch,

Aww (understandable), but I had such nice gaming stories concerning some of the monster minis we discussed in the past day.

 

Short versions then:

On the Tarasque: how we sent it to the astral plane with a random Cracker Jack prize.

On Gelatinous Cubes: how we lost our invisible thief who explored on his own and walked into a clear cube. We wandered by that same room, saw nothing and continued on our merry way.

On Kobolds: my Pathfinder monk got killed by a kobold. A raging 12th level barbarian kobold... who rolled a critical hit.

On Mimics: we encountered an intelligent amnesiac mimic in the shape of a large door, who truly believed it was a magic door into somewhere. Walk through it and it ate you without realizing it. We carried it with us.

I was meh on the cube, then I saw the huddled miserable corpses, abandoned to their luckless and grotesque fate. Now I am in love.

On the two, maybe three, occasions in the first kickstarter that I wasn't keen on a stretch goal I just thought "not for me, what's next". So far I want all of KS2 but should anything come up that I'm not interested in I'll be sticking to the same philosophy.

If I don't like something it's not terrible, insulting, bad, or crap or anything other than "not for me".

LOL, I'm not complaining, but I will second the question. Can he stand up with that small base?

 

Not to run counter to Sergei too much, but yes. My Verocithrax is mounted on a 60mm round (I think). Of course, it's metal, not Bones. For a Bones one, I'm guessing you are going to want a bigger base for stability. Verocithrax is pretty top-heavy. I'll try to snag a pic of mine tonight, if you'd like.

I'm a super fan, and the only reason I'm not sending perfume-scented letters of utmost love to all of you, smeared in goblin lipstick, is because I'm told restraining orders are serious.

Does Verocithrax suffer from a wasting disease? He doesn't seem very robust for a dragon...

I probably won't get any of the dragons, and I admit that I'd like to see more non-draconic stretch goals. But for goodness sake people: The core set is already a tremendous deal, you knew this when you pledged, and Reaper doesn't owe you anything beyond what you already agreed to pay for. Some people just feel so entitled.

If I remember the original story from my Casketworks, he's astral. Or Abyssal. Something. He's an extraplaner dragon, anyway. Likes to eat foolish summoning wizards. They may not represent an adequate source of protein.

Bryan, I hope my questions about shipping didn't add to your stress level - if it did, I apologize for that.

 

As others have said, most of us have no complaints about what is included in a stretch goal, even if it isn't one that we would have sought out in the past. I like all of the bones that I received from KS1, even the ones that I was unsure of during the campaign.

 

Can we still ask for our favorites?

Can we get some calvary please? or a hint that there will be cavalry somewhere if enough stretch goals are met?

Anyway, anything you do will piss someone so listen the input but try to don´t put too much heart on them. Remember the "I don´t want free minis!" issue

I´m guessing that this will surpass 4 millions easy.

I'm hoping for more figures with the removable bases later on.. those are fantastic.. Cinder and Verocithrax aren't my favorite dragon sculpts, which is good because I won't have to justify another $20 to my wife.. I wanted the Silver and we got it.. and a couple new ones.. and a couple other existing dragons I didn't even know about..

The way I see it if I give a "negetive" response to a goal. Its mearly for reaper to see who likes it and who doesnt. I see it as giving feedback. and I could very well be a minority in that respect but it is in no way to be insulting.

You guys at reaper do a great job and I own SOOOO many of your products its insane. but no ones perfect. Those guys in the KS forums need a chill pill.

thatguywiththeface, verocithrax is naturally slim, and it doesn't advance the cause of dragon equality one iota when populists like you start hating on him for his natural body-shape.
