Reaper is friendly with WotC, it's a small community. They usually run stuff by them first if they think there might be a problem. A "Torask" or "Dohrghask" that vaguely-resembled in size and capability the creature in question, but was distinct enough to be its own thing, would be okay.

The ones that got in trouble forgot the "distinct enough to be its own thing" part.

Im ok with a new name and Im ok if it looks alittle different too...but I seriously get annoyed over WotC and their claiming of certain creatures.

I'm just going to touch on ROW shipping again.

I don't really have a problem with paying actual shipping cost, that's fair enough. Would a flat rate have been great? Sure, but that's out of the question now.

My request isn't so much about the "what," but about the "when."

To me it would make more sense for ROW pledgers to pay for shipping closer to the actual shipping date than right after the KS closes. Prices might have gone up by then and who's going to pay the difference then? So shipping payment next year (e.g. 1-2 months before each wave starts shipping - Reaper might have also received all some of the packages so they can give a more precise weight to each bundle) would make me much happier (and would also make me able to put a bit more into the actual KS).

Having close to a year to save up for shipping would probably ease a lot of ROW pledgers, so they would chip in more on the actual KS too.

Someone might then ask: "But what if people can't pay the shipping when they are requested to do so next year?"

That's their loss, they've already had close to a year to save up and they have already paid the money for the KS. If they haven't been able to save up by then... tough luck.

I have been told to expect an update today about that.

Trolls for everybody!

Yes, yes...I know I need a least a couple for EACH of my players.

Also at some point a Takhisimat, because if I have one in Bones I will paint it. All of it. Possibly in 7 days.

I'm thinking that that is rather unlikely, but here is how you can get it in Bones:

1. Get a bones hydra, Cinder, Deathsleet, Blightfang, and Ebonwrath.

2. Carve and fit Cinder's wings onto the hydra.

3. Replace 4 of the hydra heads (and maybe necks) with the heads from the 4 dragons. (The fifth hydra head will work good as a blue dragon)

4. Paint accordingly.

They have a very reasonable claim on the artwork they commissioned and on works derivative of that artwork. They don't have a claim and (unlike a certain game company that used to be based in Wisconsin) they've been really pretty good about not asserting a claim to public domain stuff.

I don't see the deal with the Tarasque. It's super fringe, and it's, in practice, a large dinosaur.

Buy a Angurius or Gamera action figure or just a fantasy T-rex and you're set. Probably both cheaper and bigger than anything on offer miniature-wise :P

But I'd probably buy one myself too if they happened to make one. So, yeah..

Brilliant, but entirely too small. 25xp (Palladium rules).

Do you promise to do it as a WIP? If so, you may have just made me want to see one in Bones too.

Because so many people seem to find my WIPs entertaining and/or useful, and because at least half of my requests for them come after I've completed all the examples on hand, from this point going forward I'm going to modify how I do WIPs. For each mini I paint, I'll document the process. When complete, I'll post that. It's more a step by step than a technical WIP, since by that time it's no longer "in progress" - but this way most of what's out in Bones will get a WIP. This should solve the problem of "do you have a WIP for that?" after I've already painted the model, and more importantly if I stumble across any weird anomalies I may find solutions, or possible solutions, to pass on.

I didn't expect so many people to find them so handy, but because they have then I'd like to accomodate as many minis as I can. So 99% of Bones will get a WIP moving forward, and ones I missed I'll try and add later with replacement bits. I figure if it's a useful resource, then I might as well make it as useful as I can. So the ultimate goal is 100% Bones in WIP.

Should this overly tax Reaper's photohosting, then I'll try to arrange something to cover it. I don't want to drain too much bandwidth, but the advantage of hosting it here is that they'll still be around years from now as a reference. Whereas my private host might go legs up or something in the interim. In any case, whatever the best balance between useful board resource and consumption of board resources turns out to be.

Well for those of us who are not as crazy about more big dragons, at least Reaper is mixing it up and making many of them optional, so it is easy to opt out of them, so not a problem. I'm happy with the overall content of the Kickstarter so far. It's just that right now that we are in a slower spot of the campaign I'm eager to see more goals revealed of the stuff I most want, so I get impatient when I see another goal that is a dragon. I'm not worried though. I'm going out of town for a week and that will help me take my mind off while the campaign keeps growing and goals keep unlocking. I'm looking forward to coming back to pledge MORE money for more cool options by then.

I doubt Reaper would have a problem, since it would be directly on point, useful to the community, likely to sell more miniatures, and darn near free anyway. But if they do, Flickr has been around long enough that it seems likely to continue to be available for some years at least.

Has anyone identified the dragon hatchlings yet? I'm wondering which metal figures they are based on.

The other three are new, I'm pretty sure.

Its not just that. there is no reason they can not allow rights to produce a creature thats simlar. Take Paizo for example. They are prohibited from published anything like Illithids or Beholder related but Asmodeus and Orcus are ok?

Once the dragon hatchlings and they fey were added to the core set everything else became bonus in my mind. I'd been waiting for the dragon hatchling from the preview gallery for months, and now I know when I'll get him. :)

I heartily approve of moving the dragons to Bones, it only makes sense.

EDIT: I wouldn't turn down cavalry. 'Cause, you know, HORSES! My 3 girls are already dropping hints about mouselings.
