I get it. You guys are sick of dragons. three things: ONE in our last KS the Dragons were the single most popular add-ons - every dragon beat out every non-dragon. TWO at all 3 conventions we have done since the KS fulfillment concluded, we sold out of every dragon we brought, and online & Distributor sales are high. THREE: for the last year you people have been begging us to put every dragon we have in Bones to make them affordable.

Since dragons are so well liked, how about some more Kobolds.

To keep the dragons company.

 

And lure adventurers to their lair.

 

 

Reaper's catalog of kobolds is pretty much already Bonesium. The only exception are the Leader, Sorcerer and "Kobold with Club".

 

I'm still holding out for a bunch of bandits, or town guards, or cultists (please be the SkinSaw Cultists). Actually, more PF Villains would be sweet, or PF NPCs. I love each and every one of the PF sculpts.

I understand that Orcus and Asmodeus are all in mythology. but lets take Orcus for example Orcus Prince of the Undead...Reaper has the same model but no Orcus tag on it. I dont know specifics but that seems to me like they are following the rules of keeping to different names. Nephal Shadow Prince Demon aka Grazz't is another example

Countless demons in the reaper line seem to specifically take the likeness of the D&D trademark look (which was probably taken from mythos as well) but not the name. Which makes me think there are trademark laws to an exstent. If Orcus is public domain why does it seem reaper decided to name it Prince of the Undead.

 

They could have just opted for a different name, but when I look at everything they make demon related it definately looks similar to the D&D counter part...reguardless of having a mythos to it or not.

 

EDIT: to the point of the Tarrasque. I dont see why if reaper can make an EYEBEAST why not a Tarrasque in similar art fashion like it always has.

As others have already mentionned, creatures/characters like Asmodeus and Orcus are public domain.

 

Beings like Tiamat is a mixed bag. The mythical Mesopotamian Tiamat was a sea serpent mother of all dragons and is public domain. The "five headed chromatic dragon" though is a D&D creation based on the original, and is protected work.

 

So *if* we get a five headed dragon, it won't be called Tiamat unless WotC allowed it.

Tiamat provides an extra out. Since the base metal or plastic is not multi-colored, you can, presumably, package her as some form of hydra, or more generic multi-headed dragon.

No, there is another - this set of kobolds isn't Bonesium, nor this guy...

Or they could even commission new sculpts...

I had to vote. I love painting up Sophie. I like painting up most Succubus as it is. I'm thinking it would be fun to purchase one and paint her up for my sister. Maybe even to look very similar to my sister if possible. She would get a kick out of it.

Dragons. More dragons, All of the existing reaper dragons, new dragons, Sophie riding a dragon.

 

Trolls more Trolls. My group moans when the trolls hit the table. I always love that sound.

 

Somebody cut back on the Mt.Dew I.V. Drip for Bryan and no more vivarian for the next 72 hours...We love you Bryan.

It is insane how Reaper´s can read thoughts...

 

In the first 3 days of this KS they matched more than 50% of my I-want-this-so-badly list.

... and we have 22 days to go (and guessing 3,000,000.00 more US dollars to raise).

 

The other 46% is composed of sure things to appear as the KS go:

10% Animals

9% Cavalry

6% Player Character

5% Dragonman

5% Dragons

 

And there is the I-hope-for 11% (as was the Egyptian theme miniatures)

5% Snakeman

2% Sophies

4% other

 

So, keep the good work Bryan, Kit, Cheryl, John, Ann, and whomever is the rest of Reaper Crew (sorry for not knowing)...

 

I will never complain about your choises of releases. Perhaps be sad that my choises are not included, but alwais hopping for the company and the BONES line to grow.

I agree. Trolls, Ogres, Hobgoblins, DIfferent Golems, Giants! ALL THE DRAGONS!!!!!!!!! :)

 

I am not such a huge fan of the latest stretch goal but it's not such a huge deal if I am not happy with everything. This thing rocks anyway.

Yes, yes...I know I need a least a couple for EACH of my players.

Also at some point a Takhisimat, because if I have one in Bones I will paint it. All of it. Possibly in 7 days.

I'm thinking that that is rather unlikely, but here is how you can get it in Bones:

 

1. Get a bones hydra, Cinder, Deathsleet, Blightfang, and Ebonwrath.

 

2. Carve and fit Cinder's wings onto the hydra.

 

3. Replace 4 of the hydra heads (and maybe necks) with the heads from the 4 dragons. (The fifth hydra head will work good as a blue dragon)

 

4. Paint accordingly.

I would, but, IIRC, it was said that there would be no metal models.

 

I prefer my Sophies to be metal.

I'm torn here my pledge is at 125 but I was planning on 200 I just don't have the actual 200 yet but should by the time its all over. Should I just wait to see if and when I get the money or pledge to help out lol
