Oho! The list of add-ons now has prices for all the different sets in the Core Set.

Swamp things - $8

Pathfinder villains - $8

Sylvans - $8

Beast Mode - $7

Dungeon Monsters 1 - $7

Oho! This is going to get expensive.

I already learned my add-on lesson.

"All right, I got my Bones! Wait... I have to paint how many rats now?"

So one of each for me, then fill out ranks later.

Even for your trolls?

Trolls are core expansion, not available as an add-on. Trolls would be different. I specifically requested that one in bones because I need a lot of them.

They're... a surprise.

For when the players think they have the battle well in hand against the orc horde, and are winning.

Yesss.

A Wave 3 just opened. Those of you wanting to hopefully move to an earlier wave might want to watch closely for a bit; I know of at least a couple of backers who pledged with multiple accounts and might be consolidating to one account now.

Huzzah!

--OneBoot :D

HAHA I just moved up to Wave 3 from Wave 4

EDIT: I would so get MORE Trolls too if they were available, just like Buglips

I'm not so sure about how few those ROWers are - didn't they account for 25%-30% of the last KSers pledges? That's a lot of people to risk cheesing off in my biased opinion - and some of them might not be peeved off, they just might have enough figures for now ;)

As a UK based ROWer I'm bouncing my ball, waiting for them to get the shipping calculator up before I decide whether to go home. But the increased shipping charges on this one, plus the fact that after 8 days they still haven't put up the shipping calculator (seriously I'd have delayed the kickstarter to get that in order first) suggests Reaper don't really want my business.

I know there are some number of vocal ROWers who "took their ball and went home" over the estimated shipping charges, but I suspect that's actually a pretty small number and won't considerably impact the KS results (plus some of them may change their mind and decide to back before the end).

I know I repeat myself on this a lot. But Reaper is not the only company charging actual shipping for ROW backers. I have been on a number of UK Kickstarters that have charged me actual shipping as well. I had to drop out of one because shipping was going to be to expensive. Looking at the amount of money that Reaper spent on KS 1 shipping alone is mind boggling and I believe (and some one correct me if I am wrong) 75% of that shipping expense was to ROW backers.

I see from the Kickstarter comments that people are split between those who had realistic expectations and are happy... and those that aren't

Since the forum is open and working I don't even look at the KS comments.

The problem comes down to trying to please everyone all the time. It can't happen and it won't happen. I feel for the ROW and paying for shipping, but that's just a smart business decision by a company that is in this to make money not lose money. I've seen plenty of KS that I'd like to back that are over in the UK (or elsewhere), but I didn't back because I'd have to pay the high shipping to the US, so people have to balance their finances and figure out if it is fiscally feasible for them. Everyone has a different budget to work with and decide if the project is worth it for them to back it and if it will save them money over buying these figures piecemeal at full price.

Everyone remember when on the fifth day of the first kickstarter, Reaper unveiled Ebonwrath for $10 and everyone went crazy that we were getting a dragon of that size and quality for such a low price. The pledges spiked all the way up to $38,000 that day, whch was a huge amount, and it would be 16 days more before the campaign broke that record.

Good times. Good times.

The Ebonwrath reveal was the thing that sucked me into the original Bones KS. Good times indeed.

To all those comiserating: I'm not worried about where we're going to go with this. I just want to get there NOW! That's reasonable, right? ::D:

Not that I mind them not being an add-on, it just means I have to wait a little longer to assemble an army worthy of Sauron.

But the Marsh troll is an add-on (Swamp thing). Plus you get turtle men too.

Just sayin'

Mountain Troll is not just a troll! He's... EPIC TROLL!

I have one in metal. Now he needs a whole lot of buddies.

What's funny is that I actually learned the opposite lesson. I went in for pretty much one of everything last time, and now I find that I want all kinds of duplicates for alternate paint schemes or conversion concepts, especially for some of the mid-sized or large models. I am strongly considering extras of some of them this time around.

ouch ah it hurts....$10 for the hatchlings....

But they're so nice, aren't they? Heck, I added in a set, and I already have a copy of the storm dragon hatchling painted up on my shelf.

I was referred specifically to those ROWers who were expecting Reaper to once again foot the very sizable shipping bill and threw a fit when they were told otherwise. I have no doubt those people were the vocal minority, and to be honest I can't say I'm sad they left.

Now, for all the other ROWers, I hope the pledge calculator will convince them to back the project and join in the fun (and the community)! ::):
