Wow, I caught up. Only took the whole day, start to finish.

 

I want to up my pledge, but after reading all the "got into an earlier wave" posts I'm afraid of losing my EB spot. You see, currently I have it on my debit card with the intent of not spending more than my cash on hand. If I spend the time on Amazon to switch payment to my credit card and my spot gets taken I'll cry.

 

Decisions, decisions.

 

Don't worry abut it. Reaper was mistaken about how Kickstarter works - upping your pledge won't reset your pledge level. I upped my Wave 3 pledge by $130 earlier today, no trouble at all.

This is true - I spent over 1/2 an hour changing around my initial pledge money (upping it of course :) )- considering I'm Wave 2 I figured if it was possible to 'snipe' spots while someone is upping their pledge it would have been gone in seconds.

I wonder how much of the gain is people adding stuff to play with the nifty pledge calculator and how much is just ROW adding in their shipping.

 

A little messing around with the calculator suggested that my pledge was at least $40 short of what it should be. I'll go take care of that for y'all...

Attempting to 'snipe' an earlier spot that has opened up, does potentially open you up to being sniped yourself, if you fail to get the spot you were trying to get. However, if you know that you need to immediately grab your spot back after you fail, it helps you keep your former spot.

 

(I may have personal experience with this. *cough* *cough* Though I do feel bad that some people had to pull out. :( )

So I haven't gotten to look at the KS comments today but I was curious as to what the reaction to the calculator from ROW backers has been. Is shipping as bad as they were thinking it would be?

I've only seen one person get upset about it (accused Reaper of trying to rip them off 'cause shipping was $50 this year [for them] and $25 last), everyone else has been pleasantly surprised.

I'm very pleased with the little bump in pledges from people playing around with the Pledge Calculator. Should hit Verocithrax tomorrow easily.

 

I'm in for $200, myself. $160 of that is allotted already: Core, CE1, and the Gelatinous Cube. I'm eying some other add-ons, but I want to see what else they're planning on offering before I dedicate myself to anything. I know I'm getting at least one dragon this KS. Hooopefully I can stay under budget, but if they announce another CE (or two!) then I'm screwed.

@Slender I am in for $427. 2 Core sets, 1 Core expansion and a bunch of add-ons. Not getting the Greater Demons, Devils, Case, Elementals or Paint.

Not getting Devils!? Those gorpy glutton devils are amazing looking, though! And you get TWO of them! I've skipped a few addons... mostly sculpts that I can't find an easy equivalent for in the D&D monster manual.

I like meaty looking figures for some reason. The skinny figs are weird and the Glutton devil just remind me too much of the Gogothin Demon from Dogma.

I was torn about the devils but in the end I couldn't pass up the Mantis looking one (no idea what kind that is) and the glutton ones.

It's an ice devil, apparently. No idea why it looks like a bug.

D&D Ice Devils have always been bug-like. The design changes over time, but the theme remains. I can't explain why it is so.
