Bones Kickstarter #2 Discussion

So I haven't gotten to look at the KS comments today but I was curious as to what the reaction to the calculator from ROW backers has been. Is shipping as bad as they were thinking it would be?

 

I can only speak for myself, but it's about 20% less than I was expecting for the Core Set, and quite a bit less than that for the addons. The cases are at a point where I don't think I'll grab them, but I've said that before and getting 3-4 to go with my existing 2 from the previous Kickstarter would be good. I might get those sent in a seperate order so they come in under the customs limit. Still debating that.

A future video for a future unlock, I believe, as it is for translucents that don't show up well in static photos (possibly clear translucents for air elementals or invisible figures, or purple translucents for shades/shadow creatures).

Have purple translucents actually been mentioned as a possibility? I would kill for a pack of not-Displacer Beasts in translucent purple!

All new here! Phew, I finally read up all your writing.

 

I missed the first kickstarter but manage to get it recently. So now i'm all in for the second one. Awsome mini, I will get in trouble deciding what I buy and what I let pass.

 

My favorite ones goes to all pathfinder and and the gelatinous cube. At first I though Meh why would I want a translucid cube. But then Reaper showed us those squee corps in there and I did understood that it was hollow.

 

I'm a rpg player and a mini compulsive collector.

I definitely appreciate the ability to pledge for bits of the core set, and I will be doing so (Shambling Dead and Beast Mode at least.. maybe some more Dungeon Monsters), but I really do wish they'd made a separate group for all the animals. The wolf, badger, bird, cougar, warg, bear and dire rats as its own group would sell LIKE CRAZY.

and @Reaper I'm glad you add the pathfinder iconic druid to the core set, now please I would love the snow leopard that was with her. Far more beautiful that the one that is on the core.

 

For the rest, add what you want, I will happily take what is free without complaining and chose the addon without complaining too.

 

I have some preference for the models but I like nearly everything except the scifi and modern one. But since it's free, i'll just try to find some use for the groupe. I just never understant why people complain about free stuff.

Anybody else surprised at the $60 price tag for the core set? no? just me? :*(

I expected about $50. I have been expecting that I would either only add on an extra thing or two from the core set or I would get a second set. We will see where things end up with add ons.

 

 

I'm definitely going to be getting extra swamp things. Can't have a Bullywug party with only 4, and every story should have 3 trolls.

 

In for an extra swamp things myself, but not for those reasons. On a completely unrelated note, anyone know of any mini weapon sprue that includes 2 sai and at least one nunchaku?

We even have a reporter type in the Chronoscope plus some crazy Rats monster in an add-on...

 

 

@David - We have confirmed that Bryan was in error when he suggested that backers increasing their pledges risked sniping the seats - you cannot lose your Wave unless you attempt to cancel your pledge or change waves.

 

 

Wait....Bryan is allowed to make errors? There goes his chances at Sainthood. In all seriousness, I am glad that he had sided on the side of caution. Go Team Bryan!

Good news, everyone! (well, those that are missing Reaper's metal releases, anyways):

 

Reaper Miniatures about 1 hour ago

Jesse: We are about to start up metal new releases finally. I should think the Bones I minis that were new will start cropping up if they aren't the bigguns. Some of the large pieces would just not be practical or even impossible in metal. It will be next year before Bones II minis are put in metal I would think. After the rewards ship. I would have to talk with the other guys to find out what's planned.

 

Also, just under $11,000 more until the next stretch goal is met! Wahoo!

 

EDIT: Forgot to mention, apparently the first roughly 10k of the jump we saw after the pledge calculator went live was all backers upping their pledges. That's pretty cool. :)
