Also not interested in this update. Trying to decide if I want to buy selections I want from the core for $80, or just pay $100 and get the additional minis I don't want (Sea creatures, savage worlds, Chornoscape, etc).

How easy are these sets to trade?

Pretty easy; I made more than a half dozen trades in the last KS.

Online? Or local? Not really much local interest in this stuff around me... it'd have to be online.

If someone wants to buy an extra set of hillgiants ($10), I'll trade you my Chronoscape, underwater things, and savage worlds ($30 value)... assuming I still stick with core.

Spending the extra $20 seems like a no-brainer. There are a few that I wont use but plan to cannibalize to accent other figures (like the skulls and coral off the new seahags to add to the Were Sharks base) Dont know how easy it is to trade but I bet if you walk into a gamenight with a box of unwanteds and ask $1 a piece you will make your $20 back easily.

Why the heck wouldn't they want to do the Anhurians and other militiamen types? They're doing enough other small minis.

I don't know, the Anhurians feel too... generic. It's the sort of standard militia that nearly all model companies have done.

Not done in Bonesium mind you, but not particularly unique.

Sure, not unique at all, but still a solid standby that could be useful to have lots of. Thus, Bones would make a lot of sense.

The same could be said of the skeletons. Anyway, the reason some of us want them so bad is because they aren't unique. We're looking for an inexpensive utility "grunt" who can serve either as a unit in the field, or as town guards/militia.

It's a bulk purchase thing, like the Olley orcs, or skeletons, or goblins. The sort of common low-level thing people might want multiples of.

Hmm, you just made me realize that I had the sort of complaint that is at the opposite end of the dragons like Verocithrax

Anhurians: Too generic, I want something special!

Verocithrax: Too unique, I want something I can use all the time!

And true enough, skeletons and zombies are as generic as can be as far as fantasy goes.

Does this officially make me a grumpy old man? (I'm 42)

Warlord is a lot of fun and is well represented in the two Bones KickStarters. I hope that they will add more of the troops to the campaign.

I ran a game for my friends on Sunday. There were 5 of us, each having a 500 point group and playing on a 4'x5' table. There were two ways to get points. The first was to get points for killing other people's models. The second was to collect artifacts from the seven ruins on the table. It was an action to search. To search, you must be adjacent to the ruin and you roll a d6. If you are the highest number, you place your faction card on the ruin with the die. Other people can "snipe" your ruin by rolling higher than your result (i.e. they found the true relic instead of the fake that the other searchers found). Ties are resolved at the end of the game with a roll off. Each model was worth their cost in victory points and each relic was worth 50 points. In the end, it was a very close game and a lot of fun.

Do keep in mind, we need the blessing of a moderator and a dedicated thread for trading since they don't allow it normally. (hint hint moderator....)

Last Kickstarter trade thread was a first time ever allowed trade thread on the forum. I do not know if one will be allowed for this KS or not.

Until then, please remember everyone to abide by the Board Rules regarding sales and trades.

If it is allowed this time, one of us will start the thread. I have not heard anything about such a thread being greenlit for this KS, at this time.

No, you didn't tell us to get off your lawn.

So, about that pledge calculator...

For those international-types like myself, I'm assuming this doesn't include GST, Duty, or Brokerage because they're not listed as line items on the calculator.

NAFTA means that any "Made in the USA" products are Duty-free. Are KS2 Bones going to be American or Chinese?

I found http://www.thefinalcost.com/shipments/calculate/ to help Canadians calculate their shipment costs. It's old (it thinks the GST is 6%) but otherwise seems to be in working order.

For a $210 pledge, I pay $38.50 shipping (according to Reaper), $10.50 in GST, $5 in Brokerage fees, $6 for CAD to USD conversion (thanks VISA!) and $12 in Duty (assuming MIC). Total is $285. Yikes.

Edit: Math.
