So, about that pledge calculator...

For those international-types like myself, I'm assuming this doesn't include GST, Duty, or Brokerage because they're not listed as line items on the calculator.

NAFTA means that any "Made in the USA" products are Duty-free. Are KS2 Bones going to be American or Chinese?

I found http://www.thefinalcost.com/shipments/calculate/ to help Canadians calculate their shipment costs. It's old (it thinks the GST is 6%) but otherwise seems to be in working order.

For a $210 pledge, I pay $38.50 shipping (according to Reaper), $10.50 in GST, $5 in Brokerage fees, $6 for CAD to USD conversion (thanks VISA!) and $12 in Duty (assuming MIC). Total is $285. Yikes.

Edit: Math.

Now this is a guess, but I would have to say that Bones II will have to be made in China. Bones I required the efforts of 17 machines working 24/7 for six months (or something like that, I'm sure I'll get corrected) to produce the number of Bones ordered. Reaper has only a single machine on site which is probably capable of keeping up basic stock levels but can't approach the capacity that will be required for Bones II production.

Ok, after calculations I am up to 237. (still debating on the Core Expansion) which is 37 over my alotted budget I gave myself. (I blame the baby dragons and G.Cubes mostly)

So this newest update...hmm...Not sure I have much use for those but meh

I really hope that if reapers adds Calvary that its a lone add on. Although I know everyone wants them I hope they arent mixed with infantry. I dont want to have to get them just to get something else that I really want if all. Which is the same situation with the core expansion. If calvary is added to the main core thats fine but please please please keep them on their own if you add them otherwise.

Oh and tarrasque

Hmmm... with the last reveal, the stirrings of a Forgotten Realms setting where Land Sharks fall from the sky on unsuspecting adventurers from land motes may have to happen....:devil:

I was thinking along the same lines, but I was wondering if there would be consideration that Canadian Bones would be made in the USA to avoid duty. We Canucks would surely be a small number of orders. It would add an extra bit of headache on Reaper's part, but would free up $12 for an extra AddOn :)

This is kind of how I feel, if I need to recoup some money, or just want to offload some stock (sin I know) it'd be pretty easy to hit a local game store on gaming night and charge a dollar a mini.

Also not interested in this update. Trying to decide if I want to buy selections I want from the core for $80, or just pay $100 and get the additional minis I don't want (Sea creatures, savage worlds, Chornoscape, etc). How easy are these sets to trade?
Spending the extra $20 seems like a no-brainer. There are a few that I wont use but plan to cannibalize to accent other figures (like the skulls and coral off the new seahags to add to the Were Sharks base) Dont know how easy it is to trade but I bet if you walk into a gamenight with a box of unwanteds and ask $1 a piece you will make your $20 back easily.

In one of my groups homebrew campaigns, one of the monsters was an Air Shark. Large shark with oversized fins/tail. Found out the hard way that it generated hydrogen for boyancy (I shoot a flame bolt at it. Everyone within 10ft take 2d6 explosive damage.) We had all knids of good monsters in that world: knee biters and the Bickford Golem.

This is exactly how I feel! How can you be an RPG gamer and not find a use for just about every mini you own? If there are mini you wouldn't normally use, your fellow players will delight in changing up your typical RPG game with new flavor.

I totally imagine the were shark is a pit boss of some ruthless gang who found his way into a city, or maybe he's quickly taken over the illicit activity which haunts the wharfs/docks. Maybe he's a pirate captain trolling the high seas and your group is hired to take him out. He's the big nasty body guard of a vampire mermaid who uses powerful magic to sink ships laden with cargo along an important shipping route. I mean, I can do this all day!!!

I love the new expansion. Some more female critters and a big aquatic theme FTW.

I am as happy as a clam well buried in mud safely far away from those monstrosities.

Clam eating monstrosities? I don't see any dire Otters.
He's in "Oh, Rats!", casting spells.
