I like the idea of Bases....I wonders if reaper has ponders larger sizes..(keeping in tune with the gameing table that is 2x2 3x3 4x4 etc...)

Or perhaps offer appropraite size bases for the bigger minis? That would be cool.

I really like this idea of having different sized plastic bases for the different sized minis we have.

Currently I'm using wooden bases that I bought online, that range from 1inch to 3 inches.

Well, really, how many of the minis from this Kickstarter will actually fit on a standard 25mm/1" 'small' base?

I'm thinking not so many...

@Last Knight - You can always trim the broccoli a little bit on the medium sized guys so that it fits inside the base or raise them up on some kind of basing stuff like cork board that represents rocks. That's what I've been doing with my KS1 minis without a problem.

First dibs will go to anybody in my immediate vicinity who needs bases. After that, you can fight to the death to see who gets them.

Dibs on selling tickets to the death match.

Hooray, bases! And at a far lower level than I would've expected.

But... approximately 50? By weight?

Just remembering the mess created with KS1 mistakes, what happens if someone gets 49 or less bases?

49 is approximately 50. So is 48. In fact, that's almost certainly why they used the word "approximately".

A lot of 'em will still be pretty crowded, though, if they fit at all - bugbears and gnolls for example.

Yeah those guys would/will be pretty crowded for sure. At my table I might take the liberty to make them large sized as most of these guys are usually over 7 feet tall in their descriptions even though they are labeled as medium, then I'd place on a bigger 2inch diameter or 2x2 base, but that's just me and what I'd do as the only mini painter and part-time GM of my pathfinder group.

This just in, from Kickstarter:

Falstius 16 minutes ago

And out of curiosity, was this always planned or added when everyone started begging for bases?

Reaper Miniatures 15 minutes ago

@Falstius - we've had the prototypes for about 2 months now. We just have been saving a few Tricks for the slow times...

Reaper Miniatures 21 minutes ago

@Ironregime: black like in picture. These will be made out of the same material our current Square and Round slotted bases are made from.

This has been today's "Reaper Kickstarter Comment News" by OneBoot.

Tune in next time I feel like updating for more random information from Reaper.

Now over to buglips for the weather.

Bugbears come with the "big" trait in Song of Blades & Heroes, which has been my main use for my Bones lately. ^_^ 2x2 works pretty well for that (or, more often, a Warmahordes "medium" base, 40mm round).

Lots of rain, with an excellent chance of juicy beetles and snails thereafter. A great day for a picnic!

You could try a 2x1 base. Just sayin: http://www.dungeoncrawler.com/kickstarter_2013/index.html
