That's the guy who has kept me from adding that to my pledge. I love the bases, I love a lot of the rest of the figs, but that guy is great for a display piece, but not my style for a game piece. I'll pick up the bases in the boneyard when they come out. For when I do ever get around to making a display mini. It'll probably take me at least that long before I even think about attempting it. :lol:

I need to circle back and see what the next stretch goal is. Very happy with the bases, though.

 

I wish that once you hit a certain KS threshold*, you could "unlock" three comment threads over at Kickstarter:

1. Discussing the Kickstarter progress, ideas, and stretch goals.

2. Discussing the shipping (because shipping seems to be an issue with every KS)

3. General absolutely-nothing-to-do-with-the-Kickstarter-more-of-a-casual-I-am-bored-and-waiting-for-the-next-update kind of comment thread.

 

*Maybe X backers or once you hit X comments my options would become available.

I am not sure it would work.

 

Take this forum as an example. Here you can create as many topics you want. We could have topics for shipping, stretch goals, ideas... but have you seen this topic lately? there are people arguing about what constitutes a good or bad business plan, or worse, if one are right or wrong about what he said previously.

 

We are a big family in a Grampa´s Birthday Sunday lunch. We all talk about anything and everything at once. The meeting is about Grampa, but derrailings and flame arguing are expected.

 

And in the end, we all go home happy, with a bag of left-overs and bones.

 

Edit: And I say this without any prejudice on the tread. It is loooong, but it is fun as long as we all respect each other.

If you actually like 5/6 of the figures in the set, and you are interested in his base too, it is almost certainly worth it to you to buy the add-on from a price/miniature standpoint. Retail pricing will, presumably, be higher than the KS price.

I am trying to limit my off-topic diversions to avoid the liberal application of mod bats - Both Ladystorm and Qwyksilver live within driving distance of my house! *hides under desk*

But if I do decide to add it, it won't increase my pledge... yet. Because I'm still not up to the amount of stuff I want, compared to what I've already pledged. I am at the edge between 'Husband is annoyed but it's my money' and 'Even though it's all my money, he would be cheesed off by the amount I'm spending, and demand more tribute higher percentage of my paycheck to cover bills and to save.

 

I guess it's off to Ebay to sell off some of my extra stuff that's been sitting around.

If past experience tells, trading stuff from the Bones KS II should be ok here (but I would wait until someone official starts that thread).

I really like the bases on the Hearoes and Villains, but can't stand the giant weapons. I'll probaby end up grabbing a couple of them after I see them in person, though.*

Anyone know if they will be adding more to the Core Expansion #1 than what is currently shown? There is a lot but the Mountain Troll, Tortoise, Ice Troll and Barrow Warrens, and maybe the zombies are the only things I can see myself using. Unless they are going to add more to the expansion, I'd get more use out of picking $50 worth of specific stuff out of the orange sections.
