So, reaper just posted this in the comments:

"Product from the previous Kickstarter is availbale for retail sale from local game stores and online. It is not the purpose of this project to sell more of those, but rather to add new models to the product range."

While I understand that people who missed the first kickstarter might be disappointed, I completely agree with this. Go Reaper for supporting local stores this way!

Hello, I'm an international and I pledged (proxy through a friend) for the first Kickstarter, and I admit that the low flat shipping rate was a big factor. Now I understand that perhaps the cost of shipping was way higher than initially expected, if only because the package ended up so much bigger, but still, pun not intended... but it seems international pledgers are getting kind of boned this time around.

I don't know if Internationals were a big factor last time or what the average shipping cost ended up being. But I'll say that right now, I'm quite wary of pledging this time around because of the unknown cost.

Perhaps if a cost of (international) shipping was extrapolated from the last Bones KS event, you guys could give us an idea of what to expect for whatever region being shipped to? Like, 50 bucks to Asia and 30 to Europe, and add 5 bucks for every add on or something?

I'd love to get in on this, but as an International (South East Asia), I'm sorry to say this isn't quite as appealing as it was last time. Perhaps if the Core Set exceeds the last time, I might break down and do a last minute pledge, but as is, that unknown shipping thing is a killer.

Perhaps a stretch goal where shipping is subsidised?

Still, I wish you guys all the best and hope that as things progress, the pot can be sweetened to the point I can't help but pledge my support anyway.

If I could access Facebook from work so I could log in to the KS from here I'd maybe raise my pledge amount.. but I have to see what I can sell to get my wife to let me spend more cash LOL

Neato new Glabrezu.

Yea Im torn with that...I like the Glabrezu alot but Im not interested in the Nalfeshnee

There's always retail. Or you could get both for $12, they'll probably retail around $8 each, and ebay the one you don't want.

True...but Im working with a limited budget so Im gonna wait and see what other add ons come out. And Im more interested in getting the bigger ones for a lower cost.

whats with the limited # of backers?

they only have room for 6000 backers, and 4k have already pledged.

Is reaper planning to open more options?

Can they add more in the middle of the drive?

if not how do wee get to a second map? the 100$ x 6000 slots seems like finite money, when ~infinite money is available

I guess it would cut down on headaches, and shipping space but it seems like a waste of possibility.

Story time?

Okay, so my plan this morning was to get up nice and early and go to the bank to pay my card up so it wouldn't scream at me when I tried to use it. I know people have said "you don't pay at the end"' and "why not pledge, then sort it out" but last year when I pledged with insufficient funds it said "NO". Presumably, Amazon would do the same today.

Anyway, so I got up late and, expecting it to be like last time, I was surprised to see limited pledges. Uh oh! So I called a cab, and made ready to get down to business.

Well.

This town is run by idiots, you see. There's only one road in and out. Just one. Everything feeds into this. It was decided to do road work on this. Today. In the middle of the day, for some reason. So I got maybe 30 feet from my house in the cab. After 15 minutes and getting 5 more feet, I threw $20 at the cabbie, wished him good luck, and abandoned the vehicle for foot mobility.

Immediately I got out of the cab I was almost creamed by some junked-up butthead in a 4x4 so impatient he was driving on the shoulder.

Undaunted, I proceeded across the road to begin my Quest For Bank. In the 15 minutes to get there, I saw 2 collisions and multiple incidents of road rage. It's apocalyptic out there. Seriously.

I made it to the bank, paid up, proceeded to start home. I was crossing an intersection, when a truck comes swerving into the turn and wham! right into a minivan - now both are coming at me.

And you know what I did? I jumped into the ditch. I crawled out, dusted myself off, and started home without looking back. Those people are animals, let the cops sort it out.

Finally I got back here, alive somehow, and pledged in. I don't mind being in Wave 2 and waiting, that's the same thing as last time's shipping really. But I do hope people aren't snatching up early slots without an intention to commit. Because that's all the way not cool to do.

But I made it. And now you know what i'm prepared to risk for new Bones. My real, actual bones!

Hopefully this incident today will wake up the new council to build more roads, but I doubt it. Because that board's stacked all the way with slack-jawed yokels.

Consider it a practice run for the zombie apocalypse.
