So I was just looking at the main page of the Bones 2 and looking over all of what is there (like I do often lately). I guess I just happened to be switching tabs from that page to the forums when my wife walked in. She accused me of switching quickly to hide dirty pictures. When I showed her what I was looking at she said "well, that IS pretty much the same thing for you."

Not really sure how to take that.

Sir? I believe my pita is undercooked.

I even correctly identified all the chromatic dragon head types on the first try.

Bravo sir, I'll be dreaming of fantastic draconic snacks all night long.

So much for sanity. It's overated.

Guessing we will see our first addition to the Expansion 2 around mid-day. I am hoping it is a good one, their choices for first figures are all good ones but it seemed like a small start for a new $50 expansion.

Actually, I guess the next addition isnt to Expansion 2, at least I hope not. The next expansion 2 addition is at $2,160,000. That is $360,000 away. Not sure how many additions the Expansion 2 will hit at that pace. Maybe I added expansion 2 to my pledge too early.

If not expansion 2 than I hope they have some additions to the core set.

They plan to intentionally reveal fewer at a time, but have reveals closer together (smaller, more frequent stretch goals) based on backer feedback. The end result will be the same size expansion.

I didn't expect to need to do another digest so soon, but it's been an explosive, awesome storm of Reaper comments over there the past several hours!

Re:mounted - we let the mold engineers determine where to cut and how much to preassemble. Ursula is one piece now and is unlikely to be cut. The other two are a decision for the engineers.

@Reaper: On the "Heroes & Villains" add-on, how are the minis attached to the bases, slotta-tabs or foot pegs?

Bryan Stiltz about 5 hours ago

@DSMiles - pegs. not slot/tabs.

Paizo's shout out went out at 6pm Central time - just as I was leaving work. We had over 250 new backers today well before then.

(the following is not from Reaper, but still very interesting)

I was on Kicktraq, and I realized something. Except for three days, we've raised the original goal or more every day. That's kind of amazing.

Okay, here's the pitch: seeing all of the cool underwater aquatic stuff (weresharks, kelpies, hags, Krakens, etc), he [Gene] said, "Hey, why not do a group of underwater adventurers to combat these monsters? Sort of the fantasy version of Captain Nemo's crew?"

Izzy "Talin" Collier about 2 hours ago

@Ron: It's a horrible idea. I'm completely down with it. Let's do this thing.

Ron Hawkins about 2 hours ago

I just hate the idea that Ed came up with it. :)

Ron Hawkins about 2 hours ago

Also, while Gene's on...Gene did all of the graphics for this year's Kickstarter. None of this stuff is clip art, it's all brand new, hand drawn stuff! Props to Gene!!!

Arianne - We're pitching concepts for an underwater Nemo-style hero group to fight the Under The Sea level. thus Aqua force thing.

~~~~~~~~~~
Izzy "Talin" Collier about 2 hours ago
@Arianne: We're discussing undersea adventurers. I'm thinking that's what you'd call a submarine full of Halflings and Dwarves.
Ron Hawkins about 2 hours ago
Clarification on the announcement - oh screw it. I'll tell ya'll now. Gene's designed some Bonesylvania t-shirts, and we'll be putting them up on Zazzle tomorrow. They're awesome!
These will be up for a while on Zazzle, Cafe Press, etc. So, spend your money on the Kickstarter now, get a tshirt later. :) Or both. :)
(I can't tell if this next one is a joke or somewhat serious....)
Gene Van Horne about 1 hour ago
@Last K - I thought about sculpting Buglips for this but just ran out of time... Maybe next Kickstarter
~~~~~~~~~~
Ron Hawkins about 1 hour ago

Alan - it can be done both ways by our manufacturing partners in China. We still do 98% analog sculpts, only a few are digital. But I'm sure that we'll be doing more in the future.

~~~~~~~~~~
Ron Hawkins about 1 hour ago
@David - yes, shirts! Buried now, but we'll be making them available tomorrow...NOT part of this Kickstarter. REPEAT - these shirts are NOT part of this Kickstarter. :)
~~~~~~~~~~

@Derek - During our last Kickstarter we unveiled our plan to begin production of Bones in the US. Currently we have our first machine and molds with more molds on the way. We’re learning the fundamentals of injection plastic production. While we are off to a good start, we’re not up to speed yet. We still lack both the expertise and the number of machines it would take to fulfill this project.

To put this into perspective, with only one machine it would take approximately 650 days (running 24 hours a day) to produce our last Kickstarter. That is almost two years! This is further compounded by the fact that our machine is not large enough to produce large models like Kaladrax.

Production in the USA is a high priority goal!

(in reply to buglips mentioning having to paint a gazillion vertabrae on Kaladrax)
Ron Hawkins 23 minutes ago

Buglips, we've got something planned worse than that this year.

Bryan Stiltz 20 minutes ago

Buglips - The Ruins and all occupants, entered in ReaperCon 2015. Up for it?

~~~~~~~~~~
Ron Hawkins 14 minutes ago
Okay, here's a tease. Gene is partly responsible for the occupation of the ruins. I'll say no more!
~~~~~~~~~~

Izzy "Talin" Collier 2 minutes ago

Of course, after Sophie riding the bellydancing Tarrasque on a Kaladrazebo, it's all tea and crumpets. If we did an art PDF, it should be called, "F5: the Art of the Comment Section."

~~~~~~~~~~
(NOTE: I did NOT include this next comment in order to bring up the old debate; I just thought it was interesting information. No calling the wrath of Ladystorm down on this thread, k?)
Izzy "Talin" Collier about 2 hours ago
Spoiler: I drew a female Storm Giant for this Kickstarter. Was going to pair her up with a male Cloud Giant... After all of the negativity last time, I scrapped them. True story.
@Ravendas: You are correct. I initially drew her as a pinup, not a mini design. (Although she is wearing more than the Storm Giant, oddly enough.)
~~~~~~~~~~

Izzy "Talin" Collier about 2 hours ago

I don't really let it bother me anymore. To be truthful, the female figures that get trolled about the most (more armor, more clothes, short hair, overweight, underweight, etc) are the ones that until about 2 years ago simply didn't sell. I sketched out a female templar years and years ago, and Sandy Garrity absolutely knocked the sculpting out of the park on it. No one bought it, because, "She's wearing too much," and "She looks like a boy, because her boobs aren't big enough."

We've come a long way. Trust me.

~~~~~~~~~~
Oh my gosh you guys, there were so many shenanigans in the comments, you have no idea! SO MANY.
Also, it *appears* that ReaperBryan has confirmed that there will be multiple occupants of the ruins shown in the video. I'll wait to get REALLY excited until I see it. :)
Huzzah!
--OneBoot :D
EDIT: The sculpt that Talin was referring to in the last comment was http://www.reapermini.com/OnlineStore/templar/sku-down/02459#detail/02459_w_1'> 02459 Female Templar. I'm sorely tempted to pick up a copy of her myself, she's a lovely piece! :)
      Hello everyone, I'm currently working on an Ogre gang and completed the painting on this model last night. This is a 77455, Ogre Smasher sculpted by Bobby Jackson. I swapped the top of its club with that of the 77454, Ogre Clubber. I also added three more skulls at his waist belt. it was all painted with Reaper MSP paint. I will complete the base later since I may add more elements to it.
      Just a random assortment of the first painted from Bones V.  I sort of cheated...my Kickstarter arrived yesterday but I borrowed these in advance from a friend who got theirs earlier.
