trash bin, with a lock. That's what I would disguise my bigger on the inside time travel device as. No one would suspect a thing

I bet the garbage truck driver would be pretty surprised when his rig not only couldn't lift it, but couldn't even budge it a little.

Striges. Not stirges. ("Strig-ah", not "Stirj")

I know, I'm sorry, but it was driving me nuts.

Well, stirges if you're talking about the D&D monster. Strige if you're talking about the Reaper model.

Though it's interesting. The striges are tagged stirge.

Oh bloody hell. Here, I assumed we were talking about scary russian demon ladies, and there's a damned giant bug called a stirge. That's what I get for knowing mythological monsters better than my DnD monsters. :wacko:

IF the stretch goal is unlocked... There will be a figure related ~ in some way ~ to someone posting here in the comments. Whether it's literal (as in the ReaperBryan figure), honorary (i.e, a "Buglips the Goblin" figure), or thematically (i.e, a dieselpunk angel - hence, "Panzer_Engel").
Beyond that, I won't specify. ;)

So how many digital sculptors do you work with, and how many traditional for comparison? and do you think the number will shift in the future as digital becomes more commonplace or does traditional sculpting offer some benefit that will hold a niche?

Bryan Stiltz 43 minutes ago
@Alex3 - 2-3 Digital, and about a dozen traditional - some of our sculptors, like Bobby Jackson, can do either, as needed. Yes, and Yes.

@Chris - the truth is we use a trick card on slow days to add in a stretch goal that's a more achievable. The middle weeks of a project can really slow down, and if people get disheartened, then it can bog down and die - so the Trick Cards keep goals ticking over, and keep people excited.

Kally was a combination - most of it was digital, and then some details were added on top of the resin printout.

@Corey - most of them are done by hand. The Fire Demon in the Demon Lords Option was digitally sculpted, as were a few others, although that's the only one I can name off the top of my head.

@Bryan, Any chance we'll see a new video in the final week?

Bryan Stiltz about 1 hour ago
@jay- very likely tomorrow.

Kit's the hands. He's pretty fastidious. I can't be the hands. I'm the hat...

We linked to Monte's KS in our last update. We do appreciate it being rekindled. They are a great company and deserve the love.

Darn, I make ONE comment about "weeping angels" last night, and they appear in the next stretch goal. I'M A WIZARD! @.o
(Seriously, I didn't even know those existed...)
~~~~~~~~
I didn't realize it was Kit doing the videos, for some reason I always thought it was Bryan. Though, after watching Reaper's http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Xaa8OI5CeM4'>Who We Are video, I wonder why I made that assumption. Kit does have an awesome voice. :D
I thought they were strigoi? Or is that the singular?
I don't remember, did you sculpt all of it? Or just the stagmites? That bookshelf is pretty rockin', I'm totally going to get several of them when they come out in retail. That and the bed, because beds seem to come up as obstacles an awful lot in the campaign I'm in right now. :)
Just FYI, if you are looking for some additional variety in your beds, Hirst Arts also has one on one of their recent Inn Accessory molds. While I'd expect that you'd not necessarily be interested in casting your own, you could probably find someone with the mold that could cast you a handful at a decent price. There are probably even some available on eBay.
Nah, I like yours better. The fact that they're stackable is pretty rockin'. ::D: And I have little interest in casting right now, since I've got GS to learn how to use, conversions to figure out, and a whole boxful of minis waiting for me to paint them. ^_^
I hope they are not done adding to the core set.
Reaper has said several times that they are not; I've posted their comments to that effect in my digest posts. :)
So..... 55k to go. Tomorrow will have to be stronger than today was if we want to see another stretch goal. Trick card? Perhaps they'll let us wait on the stretch goal, and give us a trick card on the weekend? 2" bases sound mighty tasty.
Ron's teased reeeeeeeally strongly that larger bases might be in the works... wouldn't be surprised if we see a Trick card over the weekend, the last week of the Kickstarter is probably going to be too hectic for them. ^_^
That poor puppy! You monsters!
Well, to be fair, that puppy was being kind of a jerk.
Or they could be saving a Trick for when we hit 2 million, since there isn't an actual stretch goal at that level. Things have been ticking along more quickly than I thought today, and I've been trying to get the word out to more people that I know who would be interested, and reminding others that I've already told. :)
