Hmm, if we don't do better today than we did yesterday, we'll be a few $K short of the goal at midnight. Hopefully we'll have a big push to get the goal turned over today; even doing as well as Tuesday or Wednesday would be enough to push us over.

That's why I was thinking a trick card might be in order, to keep things moving. But the weekend lull is DEFINITELY going to drag, so if they only want to do 1 trick it might be better saved 'til then.

Yeah, the problem is that we're so close that a Trick would be almost redundant, since it would either be unlocked RIGHT NOW or after the goal we're already trying to unlock. Maybe it would speed things up by a few thousand, but I think they are probably better off saving it.

That's just a brilliant, dream-based notion. Gnome made naturally. Requires a complicated steam device in the "ship" part.

Your thoughts make sense to me. I have been interested in trying to compare Bones I to Bones II if you were to assign a point value to miniatures based on size. Not sure what is a fair number though (if a medium mini is 1 point, should a large one be 1.5 or 2 points?).

I was very surprised this morning to be 20K closer to the goal since the reveal last night, and now as I write this another 5k closer. No idea if we will keep up that pace, but it seems to me that people are loving the way the expansions are going, and are pledging now even though they aren't fully unlocked safe in the knowledge they can always back off their pledge later if expectations aren't met.

 

And Broadway G, I have no official insight, but my guess is no... unless we go HUGE gangbusters in the next couple days. I think they released both back to back like this so people could see what's coming, and they could get the growth on them without having to jam one in the last minute. The last minute I think is better for add-ons and core goals. IMHO.

Edit: @Evilhalfling: And to second what Thrym said, I loved your dream suggestions, but the one that really caught my attention was the airship made out of dragon bones. My husband has been whining about this Bones thing partially because I have too many minis already, and partially because "There's nothing new!" and when I asked him what he was looking for, he said a Steam Punk airship. Now, I'm more of a fantasy girl myself, so I dismissed his idea, but make it Gnomish out of dragon bones, and now you have my attention.

I dunno, one more CE might make sense if we see, 3 days from the finish, that we're all of a sudden generating 20k/hour. It would feel like a pretty sure thing at that point.

Wow, the comments are really heating up. Yesterday was the biggest comment day yet, even bigger than the first and second days, and Wednesday was just slightly less.

If you want some crude comparission (I can´t categorize the new (and some of the old miniatures in large, huge, colossal, gargantum and Kaladrax-size) but right now there is 256 miniatures if you buy one of each selection, and the KS I there were 298. The $100 gets you now 152 vs 244 of the KS I.

 

BUT...

 

we just reach the 41th stretch goal (in the first one were 59), and lacking 8 days to the end in the first KS they had only 31 unlocked goals.

 

So, This is still a GREAT deal, and will be GREATEST yet. Watch and see. (and pledge)

I would really love it if we could unlock the next goal before the weekend, but I am trying to manage my own expectations. At this point, a big part of what I want is just to see what's in expansions 2 & 3.

 

(I have already pledged for expansion 2. I want the terrain from 3, but I am holding off on the necessary budgetary decisions until I know more.)
