Bones Kickstarter #2 Discussion

I'm curious what many people would do with a Tarrasque miniature. From the stories that I read, it shouldn't be awoken, otherwise the world is doomed. So it wouldn't see much gameplay.

To answer this I say cthulhu

 

This was my first thought. My second thought was a battle between Cthulhu, Kaly and Tarrasque.

 

My third though involved Pitamat and Tiamacrab as well...

But yeah, you wouldn't get a lot of repeated use out of one. Unlike, say Bathalians?

 

Bathalians (especially the Not-Mindflayer type) are high on my request list, too!

You know....Seige weapons I wouldnt mind seeing....catapults, balista, dwarven cannons, maybe a trebuchet...dont know about seige towers...kinda need a castle for that *hint hint*

Oh heck yeah, I'd love to have a bunch of mindflayers err Bathalians as I actually do have a place for them in my current campaign. They will be central to my game in a few levels...

The reason I picked up Kaladrax is because he looked tiny in the concept art and why I didn't pick up Cthulu and Nethyrmaul. Well, he/she was normal sized until China blew up the proportions.

 

Bathlians! We need some of those in this kickstarter. There is only one available, he/she needs a family.

I started keeping track of what miniatures everyone was requesting in the comments. Thought I would share the results here.

Like the asks for a male cloud giant & female storm giant to go with the pair from KS1. Apparently Talin (I think it was Talin...) started to work up art for them but stopped because of all the backlash that was received during KS1 about Yephima's appearance. Stupid vocal minority - she was actually covered up a lot more than many of the smaller figures (Bedevilled anyone?) - ruining things for the rest of us. Yephima is my favourite from the whole of KS1 and I've just started working on her as my 2nd bones paint.

I wanted a bone dragon is why I picked Kaladrax. I knew he would be big but I didn't think he'd be too big for my shelves and take up so much table space that it's not really practical to play with him. I hate to let him go but I'm thinking of using him to finance the new bones.

Yea I was seriously consdering getting him. My cousin got him instead and brought him over. Now that Ive seen him in person Im kinda glad I didnt get him. He is one that looked so awesome in the photo and kinda disappointed me with the end product. I think it is mostly due to the accidentally makeing him oversized. That ad to be honest I wasnt a fan of his wings...they looked strange and their position is awkward. I do sincerly regret not getting nethy though...Hes an example of being better in person.

I need more colossal sized monsters. I don't care if they will only ever be used once, but they are 1 great display pieces, and 2) great end bosses. Nothing says end of the world like a beastie that takes up 1/4 of the table.
