I'm all in on this one (missed KS1). I just had to promise my wife to get one of these for Christmas:http://sites.garmin.com/forerunner610/

I like your style! I think I'm going to do something very similar (but with shoes or a purse for her).

I am kind of alarmed when it comes to how much I am spending and my wife's reaction. I keep hearing comments like:

 

"if it really is a good deal, then you probably should buy as many as we can afford"

"you know what our bills are and so I trust that you will spend a reasonable amount"

"I know that the more miniatures you own, the less likely any other women will talk to you"

"so, the amount of miniatures a person needs is like how many shoes a woman needs?"

After CE3 was announced, I took a long hard look at what I was planning for and what I didn't think I'd ever get around to painting, got CE3 and was up to $330.

 

I'm afraid that I'll probably be bumping that up again before long :\

You know....Seige weapons I wouldnt mind seeing....catapults, balista, dwarven cannons, maybe a trebuchet...dont know about seige towers...kinda need a castle for that *hint hint*

Just remind your wife that that you passed on the RV and went with a more practical hobby.... $500 aint so bad in perspective. :-D

"you know what our bills are and so I trust that you will spend a reasonable amount" - "YOU BETTER NOT SPEND MORE THAN $XXX OR I WILL SELL YOUR KIDNEYS TO PAY FOR THE RENT"

"I know that the more miniatures you own, the less likely any other women will talk to you" - "HAH, NO WAY YOU WILL STRAY AS THE OTHER WOMEN WON'T EVEN LOOK YOUR WAY"

"so, the amount of miniatures a person needs is like how many shoes a woman needs?" - "THIS MEANS I GET TO BUY 3000 PAIRS OF SHOES YAY!"

I've increased my pledge once again. Nice move with the video... I just couldn't resist once I've seen how good the minis are.

 

I just hope to see more characters and less monsters. I love knights, rangers, vampires... I love painting armours, weapons, shield, bows, clothes...

I usually just have to mention that I'm having trouble saving for the race car because of all these miniatures kickstarters...

Argh! I was doing so well! I managed to resist the Kraken, and the Rats, and the Mouslings. The video is making that decision a lot more difficult... ESPECIALLY the Kraken. Dem tentacles! Dat beak! So Majestic!

 

Still can't sell me on the greater demons though. That wolf thing is just waaaay too random and weird for me to want to put down on the table. It's the reason that I DON'T want the addon. The winged gorilla pig demon is just as bad.

 

On the subject of wife aggro, I mentioned earlier that she spent a bunch of cash on a tattoo last week. I pitched it to her that I ought to be allowed to spend that much money on myself with impunity. That means I've got 650 dollars. That should be enough, right? ...Guys?

 

And now, for speculation, does anyone have any guesses how much the dragon/ruins option is gonna cost?

...and, yes, Narthrax looks much better in the video. Especially painted.
