I'm in Colchester so not far away at all and I work at the Sub Base in Groton. I'll be in Virginia for pretty much all of November but other that that and any family obligations, I'm game.

 

Where in VA? I'm in Dale city.

I'll be in Norfolk for work all of November (well it's scheduled for all of November; I'm hoping to be finished in time to be home for Thanksgiving).

You crazy Americans stealing our town and county names and confusing me! :P

 

I always do a double take when I see a place name of somewhere in America that originated near me, especially when the details are not quite right. Colchester is south of me. In Essex. Not Norfolk, which is north of me. *twitch*

 

(I live between Ipswich and Woodbridge (both in Suffolk), both of which I believe have counterparts in Norfolk, Virginia)

ehh... we have to remember not to put too much faith in the concept art, scale wise that is. The art is just a rough estimate. The sculptor is going to be a big factor in the interpretation of the concept and then Reaper can have the digital scan enlarged or reduced before making the mold. So making tight number size predictions off the concept art is going to be tenuous at best.

Surely Reaper would have scaled the art to be the size that the Mashaaf will be in comparison to Forscale.

 

They scaled it to be about what they think it'll be, but that's no guarantee the final product will be exactly that scale.

I'm surprised we even found out cavalry were an ungained goal last time, and that probably only happened because of all the sodium thiopental I laced their food with in an effort to gain information.

 

The rigorous mental training they undergo makes them largely immune to interrogation methods.

Well, the cavalry were a bit conspicuous because of that tombstone which had hoofprints on it that suddenly disappeared.

Also, as a random wishist I hope there are supers in expansion 3. It probably won't push me into adding the expansion, but I'd pick up so many Captain Griffons at retail for conversions.

Is there a way I can buy JUST the treasure piles from KS1? I could use about a dozen of them but would never need 2 dozen candleabras...

   BTW, the sculpt is done, but we didn't have a good photo so we went with the art instead. Kevin Williams did an amazing job translating it. And she is *huge*.

   We will absolutely put up pics of the sculpt as soon as the mold is made and I get a casting. Trust me, it's fantastic. And, it absolutely works for fantasy. The concept of Mashaaf comes from our Warlord game. But, she's been co-opted to be much more than that. :)

Wow. I completely failed to see anything like Mashaaf coming. (I am also unfamiliar with particular Mythos monster), still, looks pretty cool. She will definitely go on my list of things to add, if budget allows.

 

Also: We're already $10k past the Mashaaf unlock. Things really have picked up this weekend!

Well I'm not a fan of the recently unveiled ones, but I was a big fan of the angels so honestly I don't care. It's nice that all the stuff I'm not excited about is lumped into CE#3, I'm already looking at Core + CE#1 + CE#2 + dragons. Which means my $200 budget is pretty much toast.

Then there's the stuff we haven't seen yet (I'm definitely in for the ruins/dragon set!).
