Gah! I just learned that my current contract won't be renewed where I've been working the past year.

 

So now I've got a bit over two weeks to hopefully find something new, and I have to decide whether to drop my pledge back now and by how much

 

Don't forget that you can add via Pledge Manager up until Dec 31st. So if things aren't working out in the short term, you can always piggy-back with my pledge and get something later.

 

Good luck getting another contract, just keep remembering that contract work pays better!

Man pledges are going up really slowly today. It feels like a Saturday.

 

It's only cause the numbers are so high now. In a day or two we'll see this thing really start to ramp up and blow past some goals.

Hope so. I have been concerned with all of the negativity I have seen on the comment threads from people. I get aggravated about it quite a bit. This KS is awesome and really should be higher than this at this point I think but what do I really know.

It's only cause the numbers are so high now. In a day or two we'll see this thing really start to ramp up and blow past some goals.

 

 

Actually it is slow today. Of course it'll pick up eventually, but today has been strangely slow compared to the very active weekend. Maybe everyone burnt out and need a day off :P

@JackMann - That could certainly be the case. I don't know how most other weekdays go as far as pledge #'s by hours in the day.

My understanding is that weekdays usually get a boost because people are bored at work and keep checking in and bumping their pledges. If people working slowed things down, then wouldn't weekends be the busiest days?

Mondays *usually* beat our Sundays, this one has been unusually low. We've had a high dropped pledge rate today, compared to most days, and think that most people probably think we've seen everything and so they're uninterested. Once these backers are gone, we'll see normal levels return and speed up the unlocks...
or we'll have a soft ending, and if so, we have plans for how to work that.

Not necessarily. Most weekends people might have things planned and can't sit around on the KS all day. Like I game on the weekends, have the honey-do list, and watch football. Things go on as normal and I don't even really think about the KS unless I get an email saying we blasted through another goal.

Well, good news is that the pledge manager is supposed to stay open through December so even if you can't get everything you want during the Kickstarter at least you'll have a bit of extra time to scrape up cash for anything you really, really have to have.

I'm pretty sure I've seen well over 20k at around this time local though, so saying today has been slow is at least accurate.

That might well change if we get a surge later though. Here's to hoping!

 

I'm still convinced we'll see much higher totals going forwards etc, so I'm not doomsaying here :P

I really wish I had more money to kick in on this. I'm not a huge fan of the terrain or the aliens, but everything else is pure gold as far as I'm concerned. Oh, well I'll just have to pick stuff up at retail. Someone has to keep Reaperbryan busy during the lulls between Kickstarters.
