There are a lot of kindergarden children who are more polite and cheerful than what I've been seeing in the Kickstarter comments. I'm not sure what it is that turns some adults into raving sociopaths.

It's called "Being human"

As far as potstickers are concerned: wild pork w/ chili & cummin, with a raspberry vinegar dipping sauce. Maybe add some stuffake mushrooms if you want.

Mmmmmmmm.

I've got a batch of my infamous "Three Flesh Chili" at home - completely forgot to bring some into work for lunch. Wild prok, venison, and goat slow cooked in craft beer (Emersons 1812) for 12 hours with herbs and spices and smoked jalapeno peppers. Combined with a Rekorderlig Strawberry & Lime cider, it's like eating winter and drinking summer.

I'm pretty sure that's a show about monsters... so spot on! ::P:

MmmmMm, that sounds delish! I've been thinking of trying out various stews and such in my slow cooker this coming winter. I'd probably switch out the jalapeno peppers for regular bell peppers and some mushrooms, though. Can you post the whole recipe?

Just wanted to say that I'm highly amused at all of the recommendations for battle cries I've gotten. I think I've got enough now for a whole 'nother KS. ::D:

"Eulalia" is indeed the battle cry of the Badger Lords from Redwall. It popped into my head because I spent quite some time as a kid trying to figure out how exactly it was pronounced. ^_^

I would like to thank redambrosia for the following battlecry. Not only do I find it highly appropriate regarding Bones, but it's so totally something my character would yell. Like, all the time (she's also very much obsessed with shiny stuffs). I'ma totally steal that now. :lol:

FOR THE SHINIES!!!!!!!

WARNING: This is a VERY LONG digest, given that I haven't done one since I think Saturday evening. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED. There is a TON of good stuff in here, though. :)

George Pratt about 1 hour ago
Bryan,
I think you may be making a mistake in how you are doing the goals for this kickstarter. Unlike your last kickstarter, this time many more folks were aware of your kickstarter at the beginning. And by doing the waves (which I like), you have added a VERY strong incentive for people to get their money committed as soon as possible. I am guess that the last five days are going to be much weaker than last time and the total will likely not break $3,000,000 (and possibly not break $2,750,000). Look at today, we will be very lucky if we beat yesterday and normally Sundays are poor days on kickstarter compared to Mondays. It seems as if most backers who are going to $100 (as it currently exists) are already backing it so they get their stuff sooner.
If we look at corresponding day to yesterday last KS there were 557 new backers and $142,000 new dollars VS 76 backers and $50,000 this year. Today is also going to fall way behind last time (last time 817 backers, $195,000 Vs. 58 backers and $31,000).
To draw new backers at the $100+ level you are going to have to improve the base set by a noticeable amount. In KS1 there were 240 figures and in KS2 there are only 150ish, that is quite a drop.
At the rate you are spacing things out, it is going to take a total much over $3,000,000 before expansion 3 is worth buying. You would have much better luck adding some more milestone to the base and giving up on the third expansion. Fold the third expansion in with the second expansion and change to more base set expansion (and maybe add ons). Ignoring Mr. Bones it will be $500,000 between base set expansions. That is way too large a gap.
This is a great kickstarter but I think you may be using the wrong model to estimate the last few day. Your wave idea changed people's behavior a lot. Good luck and I am looking forward to doing a lot of painting next year.

@George - interesting analysis. Thank you for taking the time to talk to us. I'd be lying if I said we ourselves haven't noticed many of the details you point out, but we have plans and are confident in them.

@Bryan - did you say earlier today that something cute was coming our way?

Reaper Miniatures about 2 hours ago
@Onyx - I might have. Depends on your definition of Cute...

Reaper Miniatures about 2 hours ago
I can confirm that I said Cute, and that I alter thanked Izzy for a lovely drawing of a dark thing, that might or might not be the same thing as cute thing, but probably isn't. Then people played 20 questions and I played one answer but don't say which question I answered...

How to completely ruin a kickstarter project:
1) Try to please everybody
2) Fail
3) Repeat until bankrupt
~~~~~~~~~
Reaper Miniatures about 3 hours ago
@Doremicom - MSRP is largely a factor of our cost of production, with a small factor added to labor, packaging, etc. Basically, after the pledges are sealed and we know our order quantities, we go from our generic quote to a straight quote - the generic quote gives us the mold/tooling cost and the cost per item if we buy the minimum order quantity (or the MOQ). Often, very popular pieces get ordered in high enough qty that we blow past MOQ enough to get a discount over generic rate. We set MSRP as a function of the new cost, factoring in the future restocks will likely be at MOQ, and so that's a variable, etc.
In the end, we won;t be 100% solid on MSRP until January, but still may not release that information for several months while we look at packaging options (like Kaladrax's box, etc.) that may change it.
Reaper Miniatures about 3 hours ago
@Aaron - I want to personally apologize for my less than professional demeanor. The support this community has shown Reaper and me personally in spite of my poor behaviour is humbling.
Reaper Miniatures about 3 hours ago
Actually, Matt and I usually are the Blue text, and *most* of the time we do a good cop bad cop thing. He's generally brusque and I try to be accommodating. I'm well known for reminding people that the "complainers' are just mad because they're excited and haven't had their full dreams realized yet, so it's hard to stay mad at people who get that excited about our product. Matt's well known for telling people that if they want to see a kickstarter that does it their way, they;re welcome to run their own, this one's ours.
Reaper Miniatures about 3 hours ago
@Stefan - He posts a little, usually after I go home but before I log back on under the Bryan account. Ron and I have tried to rein him in more this project than last time, and he;s been pretty good lately.
Reaper Miniatures about 3 hours ago
Also, for the record, Matt is my boss.
Arjen van Loon about 3 hours ago
I am complaining too much. Really happy with the core set so far. Still think expansion 2 should reveal like 20 figures at once and then 2 per stretch goal. That way, it will be obvious now to everybody that it will be worth $50 (or not, if it has a composition you do not like).
Reaper Miniatures about 2 hours ago
@Arjen - we have looked at similar plans. Luckily, our current structure is flexiblle, we have moved dollar amounts around, items from one color to another, added and subtracted figures based on feedback, and will likely do so until the last day
~~~~~~~~
spade413 about 3 hours ago
@Reaper: True, but (to play devil's advocate) There is a difference between "showing everything" and "showing more than you currently are". By, say, showing one of each type of goal (each expansion that's open, an orange, and a core), you would have a constant appeal to each of your audience members. And, come Friday, limit it back to only "the next" showing.
shrug. Figure I can give you my $.02, since I've already given you my $Everything.Else...

Reaper Miniatures about 3 hours ago
@Spade - we've talked about it. Then again, we've talked about nearly everything we could think of as ways to run this circus.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Reaper Miniatures about 3 hours ago
And while today overall has not been as good as some days, I want to point out that the last 3 hours have all been well above the overall project average. Slow periods happen, do not be discouraged.
~~~~~~~~~~
Reaper Miniatures about 3 hours ago
@jason - we study a LOT of Kickstarters. There's really 2 kinds, when you talk about projects that achieve far more than their goal - those that show all their stretch goals and those, like us, that do not. We have NEVER seen a project that revealed every possible goal reach all of them. By doing it this way, we can do things to help make sure that everything we do show is met. That way we don't end on Day 27 with somebody pledging $25 for an item that fails to unlock.
~~~~~~~~
Ronald Moore about 3 hours ago
@Reaper $25 item is that a hint? :)
Reaper Miniatures about 3 hours ago
It might be a hint, it might not...
~~~~~~~~~~
Reaper Miniatures about 4 hours ago
@Chris - we have a few goals set aside, like trick cards, to reveal at set times/triggered events that aren't specifically $$ related. We spend a lot of time working on contingency plans for unrevealed goals, or goals that are revealed and unmet, and While I cannot provide specifics, we have thought along those same lines ourselves many times while planning.

We need an allowance for 20 questions. Is it scaly? Is it tasty? Is it female? Is it winged? Is it purple? (most important question!!)

@Jonesy - at least one of those is a Yes.

Paul Jansse about 5 hours ago
Animal, vegetable or mineral ?

Reaper Miniatures about 5 hours ago
@Paul - It's kind of ... not really any of those?

Frencois about 5 hours ago
20 questions:
Is it translucent?
Is it hollow?
Can you pile it on the block container?
Does it grow wings only when riding motorcycle?
Does it wear kilt?
Does it grow tentacules?
Is it related to the Arianne-Numera-alien-in-disguise?
Does it survive troll pledge attack?
Is is cuty and furry and awesome?
Can you replace its machinegun with a giant caryathid column that looks like a sword?
Is it able to spell Bathalian without any "h"?
Will it come free of S&H?
Can he type F5 without having a stoke?
Is he respectful and considerate?
Will he survice the 27/10 1am local Paris time?
Can I throw it from the third stage of the Eiffel Tower?
Is it dark? Will it be darker using HD paint #54674636576?
Does the name starts will G like Goblin Gazebo or Gizmo?
Can Superman change clothes in it?
Will Bryan actually be able to upload its image in less than 25 minutes (just kidding)?

Reaper Miniatures about 5 hours ago
@Frencois - At least one of those is a YES, and several have me questioning my sanity..
~~~~~~~~~~
Izzy "Talin" Collier about 5 hours ago
@Coralline: I did like the "classical column" look of the 1st Ed MM Cloud Giant, and that certainly had some influence. The caryatid column club (say THAT 3 times fast) was actually not the original weapon for her, though - the "un-revised" sketch has her holding a two-handed sword, shaped a little bit like the one the Storm Giant is wielding - the female being a much earlier design than the male. Oh, how Patrick Keith glared at me when he found out they were going with the club, and he was going to be sculpting a figure within a figure... lol
As for Mashaaf - nope! That was the second version of her that I did, but it was a different design that I was working on the other night. BTW - Ron loved it! Guess I can still occasionally read his mind... ;)
~~~~~~~~~
Robert Fisher about 6 hours ago
@Reaper: Can I pledge from multiple accounts and combine at the end? My funds are divided out among several cards. I'm a desperate man.

iniatures about 6 hours ago
@Robert Fisher - YES BUT you will need to contact us directly to get us to merge shipments - we will be unable to comb through the data manually unless you initiate the request.
~~~~~~~~~~
Thomas Lyons about 7 hours ago
Could Reaper offer some type of incentives for adding on expansions? For example, they could do a "Pledge 2 expansions, get the third free" or "Pledge an expansion and get a free paint set from the ones offered." The idea here would be to incentivize people to pledge into the $50 expansions who might not do so otherwise. Just a thought.
Reaper Miniatures about 7 hours ago
@Thomas - *if* we could do such a thing, We'd have rather made the expansions cheaper. Bear in mind that the Vampire Set last time was available for $100 but the MSRP of the contents was over $500 - we're offering a tremendous bargain over retail, that additional discounts on top of that are unlikely.
Since Reaper's stated goal for Bones II is to expand the Bones line, here is something to keep in mind:
At this point in the first Bones KS (approx $2,072,000), the number of new Bones miniatures (not counting duplicates or Bones available pre-KS) break out as follows:
Vampire set: 155 new Bones miniatures
Add-ons: 35 new Bones miniatures
Total: 190 new Bones miniatures
At the end of the first Bones KS, the numbers are as follows:
Vampire set: 179 new Bones miniatures
Add-ons: 37 new Bones miniatures
Total: 216 new Bones miniatures
If you only count what has now been unlocked in Bones II (approx. $2,072,000), the number of new Bones miniatures (again not counting duplicates or Bones available pre-KS II) break out as follows:
Core set: 129 new Bones miniatures
Core Expansion Set #1: 39 new Bones miniatures
Core Expansion Set #2: 12 new Bones miniatures
Core Expansion Set #3: 4 new Bones miniatures
Add-ons: 64 new Bones miniatures
Total: 248 new Bones miniatures
If you include the revealed (but not yet unlocked) stretch goals, the numbers are as follows:
Core set: 129 new Bones miniatures
Core Expansion Set #1: 39 new Bones miniatures
Core Expansion Set #2: 12 new Bones miniatures
Core Expansion Set #3: 10 new Bones miniatures
Add-ons: 65 new Bones miniatures
Total: 255 new Bones miniatures
Something to keep in mind. Reaper has already blown away the first KS in terms of expanding the Bones line.
@Stephan - I;d like to respond to this comment:
" it's too early to say I would have been wrong. If this goes to ... ah, let's say 3.5 million, obviously all the people who said Reaper should have done things differently are wrong ... if it does not reach 3.5 million ... well ..."
The implication that under $2.5M means we did it wrong is interesting. We are to date the ONLY Company to raise more then $5M on two projects. We are to date the only company to have 2 projects Both top $2 Mil. Our first project set a record for being the highest funded non-video game in the Games category, and this project is the Second Highest Funded non-video game in the Games Category.
~~~~~~~~
Reaper Miniatures about 12 hours ago
@Stefan, please do not think we are being negative to you, or being critical of you. Some of our backers are getting jaded, and beginning to be nasty to others - mostly because they've been seeing the exact same half-dozen complaints for 3 weeks now - Shipping is badwrong, don't like the goal, Reaper's goals are too far, the project is rolling over DOA, etc.
We agree that criticism is perfectly reasonable. We agree that most people are negative ONLY because they are so excited and build up a greater hope than we are currently showing. We appreciate that you have taken your time to discuss this with us in a reasonable way. We further ask that you please understand that the fanatics who are mean towards you are only mean for the same reasons - because they are enthusiastic, and the criticism is harshing their buzz.
NOW - PLEASE let me remind ALL BACKERS to be nice when posting a comment - whether in criticism or support. We are ALL here because of our enthusiasm, and we all express it differently.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Reaper Miniatures about 12 hours ago
@Frencois - there may be some cuddly things coming up... maybe :)
~~~~~~~~~
Reaper Miniatures about 12 hours ago
@Stephan - all Stretch goals are hit-or-miss. Trust me - there's a very vocal group of people (it changes every time who) that complains on *every* goal we post, because they personally don;t like it. Heck, we had one backer report that he hasn't liked any of the last 10 goals. We cannot help what a given backer personally does and does not like,our aim is to produce a product that will be widely accepted and used.
~~~~~~~~~
Reaper Miniatures about 12 hours ago
@Ross - Most projects don't have multiple cores, but we've actually seen others do it, quite successfully. We have, ultimately 3 plans - the first is the one that our math and best predictive models have told us to expect. This plan is examined vs. reality *every day* and adjusted (although it's now matching closer and closer than it was at the outset). Then we have a plan for the unexpected - a faster than anticipated surge etc. We had to rely on that plan Day 1 & 2, and adapt the expected plan to suit. Then we have a plan for slower than expected. So far, we have not needed that, as even when a single day was under expectations, the overall 3-day snapshot was within or greater than our curve.
That being said, it is something we are hyper aware of, and spend a lot of time talking what ifs.
Adam Waters about 13 hours ago
@Reaper
Do you have any measurements for the lovely Mashaaf? I'm thinking 5" tall, but I'm liking that she's a real thick.
Reaper Miniatures about 13 hours ago
@Adam - she's a little over 4", maybe 5 by the time you factor in her claw/mandible things. Expect an update soon with shots of the prototype, it's out being cast now.
~~~~~~~
Kenneth W. Scott about 13 hours ago
@Christopher -- I missed the first one too... And, I've no idea... but looking at Kiktraq, it appears they've managed to flatten their growth curve by being TOO close to the chest with the reveals. I understand them not wanting to throw everything out on the table at once, but personally, I think they're not letting people be able to see far enough into the future... Right now we only have one revealed goal to work toward, and while I'm sure a lot of people are hot for it, I'm personally kinda Meh on Expansion 3.

Reaper Miniatures about 13 hours ago
@Kenneth - it's going to get worse. later this week instead of showing two reveals we will scale back to showing only one, like *most* projects do.
BUt as far as your observations of our funding curve - such a curve is perfectly normal, and in fact, to be expected. Comparing our curve to other projects with prior campaigns, we see very similar patterns every time.

@Bruno: Although I'm technically a freelance, I've been doing concept art for Reaper (and occasionally casting, packaging, and other such things) since... Well, since their shop was 3 sizes smaller than it is now. (That's about 16 years) :)

Izzy "Talin" Collier about 18 hours ago
One of the things that I really like about the Mashaaf sculpt: Although her belly is very grub-like, her back (? dorsal-ish side?) has a rough, rocky texture. I told Kevin to imagine she'd been sleeping/lying in wait for a few centuries, and it's a really neat effect. :)
Also, she's got a bazillion teeth, and tentacles. She could be a land-Kraken. Or a Sarlacc...
~~~~~~
Izzy "Talin" Collier about 18 hours ago
Oh, for anyone interested in the sculpt for Mashaaf - she's being sculpted by Kevin Williams, the same fellow who did Cthulhu in the last KS. I saw her in progress, and... totally love it.
The Bathalians fill a 40mm base pretty well, I believe.
~~~~~~~~~
GrimDork 1 day ago
So what do you guys think of these Bathalian guys? I think the top half looks pretty good/sinster/what have you, but there's a disproportionately small amount of supporting lower snake body. It could just be the angle though, anyone have one they could talk about? The Kulathi look like good generic sci-fi badguys, just trying to wrap my head around the Bathalians.

Ron Hawkins 1 day ago
Trust me on the Bathalians, it's the angle.

Donaran 1 day ago
@Reaper - Im curious - do you pay attention to the number of people that opt in for the options and the expansions as a way of test marketing the products. I.e. if not many people here get an optional add-on, is it less likely it will be available post kickstarter in retail?

Ron Hawkins 1 day ago
@Donaran - yes, we absolutely do pay attention to those numbers. But, we don't really consider this a "test market', per se. Once we've decided to put those models into production, they're in for good (barring production issues).
~~~~~~~~
Ron Hawkins 1 day ago
Speaking of the new worm, Mashaaf...we'll be putting up photos as soon as we can get our masters finished, very soon, hopefully. But there's a lot to her that the art doesn't quite show. Her belly is ribbed, like a maggot, sort of, and her back is all covered with rocks and stuff, as if she's been laying dormant on some deep cavern floor for decades.
~~~~~~~~~~
Ron Hawkins 1 day ago
And there's great stuff lined up, especially at the end. Hopefully this week we'll see those expansions close out. It's very exciting!

@Ron - how about having it cast in a yellowish translucent?

Ron Hawkins 1 day ago
We will absolutely put up pics of the sculpt as soon as the mold is made and I get a casting. Trust me, it's fantastic. And, it absolutely works for fantasy. The concept of Mashaaf comes from our Warlord game. But, she's been co-opted to be much more than that. :)

He is the Sailor on the Docks, the Soldier At the Barricade, A Prisoner, and a couple other parts. He is the Prisoner that sings the first song, and one of the Soldiers int eh last song. He has the first and last sung lines, IIRC.

I also want to point out that this is my autistic son, and we are terribly proud of him - music is a huge thing for him, and it's been one of the most therapeutic things in his life to sing for people.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Bryan Stiltz about 2 hours ago
@Todd - the fact is, after buying the machine, adding to the building, and renting a second building to use because the addition wasn't enough, there was no profit. Not all of that is in the chart. The other fact is, we are actually offering more models now than we were at $2m in the first KS, just not broken out the same way. So we're going to be spending more on molds than the first time around. And third - all the molds we had made say Made in China on the bottom of the minis - so to bring production home, we need more molds of the KS 1 stuff - AND this stuff...
~~~~~~~~~~
Hazor about 2 hours ago
To echo some of the concerns about the expansions: the idea of breaking up the reveals into smaller pieces with smaller steps between the goals seems like a good one. The idea of showing only 5 figures to start off with at $50 was a bad one. I think it would have been best to start off with a fairly large offering like the first expansion did, then have 3~4 stretch goals on top of it.
With expansion 1, To *start* there was 2 dragons, multiple large figures and some small ones. Well worth 50 on their own, with added value from stretch goals. For expansions 1 and 2 the same can not be said, as 4-5 items to start with was terribly underwhelming next to the initial offering for expansion 1, and a comparitively poor value.

Bryan Stiltz about 2 hours ago
@hazor - Yeah, we split them from 3 goals each at $150,000 per goal to 6 goals at ~$75000 (give or take) per goal, and split the # minis per reveal in half... in hindsight maybe trimming the opening goal and making it 5 goals might have been wiser, but it was a new idea to us.

Bryan Stiltz about 2 hours ago
OH! _I Should mention that locals who will come to the Reaper shop to pick up their stuff (last time there were about 30 out of 18,000, but If you're listening) should please pledge the last possible wave - we will allow you to pick up in person at any time. Shipping wave is for us to help plan postage and freight only, locals need not worry.

Bryan Stiltz about 3 hours ago
When we first tossed around the idea of the Expac, we made a contingency plan for failure-to-realize. The only reason we're not discussing it is because we continue to be confident that failure is only a contingency, and not the main plan. IF necessary, we will make announcements WRT the Expacs.

@Jules - we currently believe that we are offering an amazing array of over 200 models, many new never-before-seen sculpts and many favorites, and that many of our Options etc. are already excellent values. We are only adding to that array of value and awesomeness, and that variety must include both mainstream and niche market items. It is a strategy that has thus far garnered over $2,000,000 in pledges in 3 weeks, and we are confident in our ability to deliver good value over the next 4 days as well.

@Bryan I am currently pledging towards both expansion 2 and 3, and neither of them look worth it at this time. But I trust Reaper and am confident that they both will be by the end.

Bryan Stiltz about 3 hours ago
@Adam - thank you. We have plans to accelerate their reveals, and/or manage the failure to do so without disappointing people.

Bryan Stiltz about 3 hours ago
@Laurent - Oh,I'm definitely hiding things. Like, I know what the dark thing that Izzy sent us to use as concept art for the next reveal is. And I know what's in the ruins with the big green thing. and I know what ELSE is waiting for a stretch goal, but It's not worth my job to tell everybody.

Robert Fisher about 3 hours ago
@Bryan: there is something else besides the big green thing in the ruins!

czak88 about 3 hours ago
What's in the ruins with the big green thing? So there's a big green dragon and then something else inside the ruins? Awesome.

Bryan Stiltz about 3 hours ago
@Robert & Czak88 - Yep! That big green thing is NOT alone...

Athena Erickson about 3 hours ago
I can't help but be prepared to find out the thing with the big green thing in the ruins is the ruins.

Bryan Stiltz about 3 hours ago
@Athen - Nope. Ruins. Thing. And Other.

Bryan Stiltz about 3 hours ago
@Colleen - It;s cool. A lot people are waiting. We're confident, everything is proceeding precisely as we have foreseen.
Well, precisely as our spreadsheets tell us it should be, but that counts.

Laurent T. about 3 hours ago
@ Bryan, was wondering if you guys commented on possible Heroes and Dungeon Monsters part 2.

Bryan Stiltz about 3 hours ago
@Laurent - We have not confirmed it, nor have we ruled it out. Lots of secrets, 4 days to find them.

Bryan Stiltz about 3 hours ago
@Mattnuke- I am not personally aware any plan for Martin Jones to paint any Bones Versions of K&L, should such a model come to fruition.

Grum Thicklepicker about 3 hours ago
@reaper anything cool and oversized coming this way?

Bryan Stiltz about 3 hours ago
@Grum - YES!

Grum Thicklepicker about 3 hours ago
@bryan let me reiterate and made of bones and not metal?

Bryan Stiltz about 3 hours ago
@Grum - yes, big bones.

John (Pole) Owen about 3 hours ago
Wait do we actually have to pay tax on our pledge?

Reaper Miniatures about 3 hours ago
@JOhn (Pole) Owen - if you live in Texas, yes.

Reaper Miniatures about 4 hours ago
@Megan - we can neither confirm nor deny any Sophie. She's still upset at being snubbed last year and has refused to pose for Bob.

Goodnight all! Veterans, help the newcomers. Everyone behave. Update in $16k, or when I get to work if it happens before 9 am Central.

The following is Important enough that I also put it here outside of the spoiler box:

Whew! I'll be glad when the KS is over; this last one took me the better part of 2 hours, and my partially finished Bones are glaring at me accusingly. Needless to say, I won't be doing this after the KS concludes, as I needs my painting time! ^_^

MmmmMm, that sounds delish! I've been thinking of trying out various stews and such in my slow cooker this coming winter. I'd probably switch out the jalapeno peppers for regular bell peppers and some mushrooms, though. Can you post the whole recipe?

Sure, but in an effort to stay marginally on track I'll fire it over on the Off-topic section : )

It really irks me to see all of these claims to Reaper Kickstarter greatness popping up. I keep seeing it written that they're ONLY company to have this amount of Kickstarter success, or that they're the ONLY company to have 2 projects reach this level of funding. Is everyone forgetting inXile's kickstarters? Wasteland 2 and Torment:Tides of Numenera? 2,933,252+4,188,927=7,122,179

Only non-video game KS in the Games category. Video games are bigger by nature; it's not really fair to compare them.

"it's too early to say I would have been wrong. If this goes to ... ah, let's say 3.5 million, obviously all the people who said Reaper should have done things differently are wrong ... if it does not reach 3.5 million ... well ..."

The implication that under $2.5M means we did it wrong is interesting. We are to date the ONLY Company to raise more then $5M on two projects. We are to date the only company to have 2 projects Both top $2 Mil. Our first project set a record for being the highest funded non-video game in the Games category, and this project is the Second Highest Funded non-video game in the Games Category.

Inaccuracies highlighted. They're omitting that whole "non-videogame" part. I read a news article that did the same.

They did mention the non-videogame part in the next sentence. I think they just failed to specify that up front.

And for all we were complaining about today being slow, we still made $46K and ended just over $10K from the next goal. I bet we'll even achieve it overnight!

I am amazed at the fact that the two are actually in the same category and that it is actually not totally unfair to compare the two. Video games cost A LOT of money. That being said, Reaper is about $1.5m from beating that goal. I think that they are on par to do so.

As it stands currently, the first is still the current #5 ranked KS in the gaming category and Bones 2 is currently in the top 15 and gaining.

I hope others are not as critical of you when you fail to say exactly what you mean to say.

I apologize if I've included comments to that effect in my digests too frequently; I don't tend to consider whether I've put in similar comments before, I just sort of throw in anything that anyone affiliated with Reaper says that's KS related (and occasionally things that aren't). If they are responding to someone and their reply doesn't make sense out of context, I include the question/comment that they are responding to.

I think that this bears repeating, though of course it's meant in jest; I love you all, my tiny little friends, even when I'm grumpy & sleep deprived...

Oh... no one likes a pedant when he's pissing in the pool
So please stop all this pestering, it's really not that cool
It's whiny and annoying, and it makes you look a tool
So someone stop that pedant before I say something cruel!

(Love you, Sabith, I'm just funnin'... :upside: )

Video games are so much bigger than other things that it's ridiculous. They need their own category. Of course, Reaper only needs like another mil to overtake them, so... WOOT! I'm still hoping for 6-7 mil as closing, though I know I'm ridiculous... I just think a total of 10 million over two kickstarters would be amazing, and I'm an eternal optimist. :D

Edited for there/their annoyances...
