@Onyx: I feel like a heel for not knowing her last name, but we have a young artist named Ivyetta who stops in at the shop from time to time. She was hoping for some art advice (as if I weren't the last person on Earth to ask for advice), so we sat down, sketched, and "talked shop" for several hours. Troll-Slayer Sophie was one of the sketches we collaborated on, and I think it's something she can really be proud of. :)

Hey while I have the Reaper guys here... I'm in Canada and am thinking about using a company called Kinek for having the package shipped to them in the US. Is this possible so I do not have to pay shipping? (FYI they cost $5 for a package up to 100lbs and hold it for 14 days)

@Cortney - if the destination address is in the US, we will not charge shipping. But we also might not include the correct paperwork, since it is not required for US shipments, so that may be an issue you will want to discuss with them.

@DSM - I believe that while the demon's base should fit within a 1" square, he should be more of a large monster with the wingspan.

@Albert - there are no plans to break up expansions. Once the models are in retail, they'll be individually packaged though. :)

Though I didn't want to copy/paste the whole exchange/explanation, Bryan talked about a guy from the first KS who was firmly convinced that he was going to be getting metal miniatures, and was quite upset at Reaper that a) the Bones were plastic, and b) Reaper refused to replace them with metal minis.

@ReaperBryan: Any chance of getting a "Talin's Concept Art Made Flesh (or Bonesium)" add-on this late in the game? Like an add-on made up entirely of minis that Talin has done the concept art for (e.g. the two Skoli, Schumacher, Monique deNoir, Kiri, more Sophies, etc).

@cerity- we do not know yet how the engineers will cut it for molding. The prototype was 3 parts, but they change cuts regularly.

Shame Reaper has no sense of humor, the worm joke was the funniest damn thing to happen all day and I was reaping karma off of my reply!

 

Funny to some, but not all and rules are rules. What's so wrong with wanting to keep this board family friendly?

 

 

I'm not sure who wouldn't find it funny, and I didn't say anything about it not being family-friendly It was a clean joke, and it set itself up perfectly. I broke no rule. By the Mod's admission we're all older than 12, and I've heard far worse spew from the mouths of kids younger than 12.

 

 

 

If Ladystorm says a line was crossed, a line was crossed and if somebody wants to argue, this is NOT a democracy - this is a board owned and paid for by Reaper. And right here, right now, today, that means ME. If you want to debate with me on my boards whether what was said was appropriate, we can have that debate. Bear in mind I have the banhammer and have never lost that fight.

 

So keep the personal attacks (now removed) and the biological jokes out of it and we're fine. Refuse, and I will remove your ability to post on our boards.

Edit: After reading Bryan's post I like him even more. Have not seen a response like that since I ran a fan site for Jagged Alliance: Deadly Games with a friend on his server and we had issues with some people on the forums. He would show them how things worked in HIS world.

Hey, $71K today! That's the highest total since the third day. Looks like we're hitting this final stretch pretty strong; can't wait to see what happens after the two-day email goes out.

 

EDIT: And despite someone's claim that we weren't getting backers fast enough, we actually got 115 today, the most since very early in the campaign with the exception of the Paizo email spike.

@Kristoph: Oddly, no. Jim Neil first came up with the idea of a "Sophie the Succubus" mascot for Reaper. I re-vamped her a couple of years later, and made her a little more "family friendly" (i.e., more cute than sexy, and with clothes on.)

Part of the perceived "mass exodus" also involved local backers (i.e, near Dallas/Ft Worth) dropping their EB and Wave 1-3 pledges, and picking up Wave7 pledges - since they can just come by and pick up their orders once they start hitting fulfillment.

That, and of course there were the people who were angry because they don't like their free stuff. ;)
