I'd like to know how big the Dracolisk figure is.

I'd also like to know all the sculptors and artists who are at reaper central right now and will be there for the party.

I'll ask Bryan to see if he can get a size reference on that for you.

Right now, still early in the day, half hour before the start of the work day... most are here at the hotel having breakfast...

People at HQ who may or may not be there on Saturday:

Joseph Wolf (ReaperWolf)

Derek Schubert

Michael Proctor (Clever Crow)

Alison Bailey (Jubilee)

Rhonda Bender (Wren)

Martin Jones (That Guy)

Anne Forester (Vaitalia)

Izzy Collier (Talin)

Kris Marquardt (Heisler)

Bob Ridolfi

Julie Guthrie

Jason Wiebe

Bobby Jackson

Gene Van Horne

Kevin Williams

Tre Manor (&family)

Kev White (&family)

The majority of the usual Reaper Staff, ie Ed, Dave, Matt, Bryan & Kit...

Me & my family

and a multitude of others....

Finally caught up on the comments and updates.

Concerning CE2: that is a massive reveal!

Is it just me or does that minotaur demon lord have surprisingly delicate hands?

Also, I think the dracolisk and burrowing horror are secretly related with that toothwork.

Wow -- I'm having a hard time keeping up with this thread and only now found the link onyxGuenhwyvar has provided to the awesome interactive "wave your cursor around and start slobbering at the close-ups of all the minis you are getting from this Kickstarter" thingamadoodble (that's internet tech talk right?).

I want to express my profound thanks to onyxGuenhwyvar for taking the trouble to do this. It really gives people a chance to appreciate the beauty of the figures in this Kickstarter. Everyone in the universe needs to study this document minutely.

I am now off to slobber some more ...

I think this is how I need to introduce the site on the kickstarter comments now.....

Am I the only one who's buying the minis only for the pleasure of painting them?

I never used a mini for playing (my last trial with a board game was as a master of D&D).

Well I tend to buy minis with the pretense of playing games with them, but I game so infrequently that I'm really just painting them.

YES! thats exactly what I do ..for me its all part of the rationalization i come up with to validate the idea of spending hundreds of dollars on More miniatures...tho I look at them all and only about 1/3 will ever hit the table..if that

I am stil pages behind in catching up, but had a few questions about the word "grognard."

Since "grognard" actually *is* French, can I assume it is pronounced "gro-NYARD" rather than "grogg-nard"?

Also, is it actually a term of approbation? Or merely descriptive? Who uses it?

What is the definition exactly? I can work out the basic idea from context, but if there are subtleties I am missing them.

French mother tongue here! (Yay bilingual Canada!)

The actual pronunciation of grognard would be "gro-nyahr" (silent "d"). Based on the verb "grogner" meaning "growling" or "grunting". Since we're talking about Napoleonic old soldiers, calling them old military grunts wouldn't be far off.

In gaming terms, it's most often associated with gamers who prefer older editions of a game to new ones, or just don't want to change after spending so much time and money on an older system (i.e. the AD&D edition wars).

Eeee! Kev White *is* going to be there! I knew it! -- Or rather, I strongly speculated once I heard they were going to be out of the UK this week.

Have fun, folks!

Thank you ladystorm. That sounds like a great party!

I am keeping hope alive that we'll get the remaining frost giant sculpts in bones.

Yes, thank you for letting me know about all the cool people you're hanging out with and I won't get to meet since I'm in MA not TX. :)

I am at work but I am happy for those who get to party at Reaper central. I happy but a little jealous too.

Geez close your eyes for 7 hours of sleep and the morning routine at work and find you are nine pages behind on this thread.

I know right! Brad, my mind almost exploded this morning when I saw the not-Baphomet and his buddies in expansion 2!!

We must unlock this people!! Think what else may be lurking there!!!! For the love of the gods, pledge for expansion 2!!

The frog demon concept art is possibly my favorite of that creature I've ever seen!

That minotaur looks awesome! And I'm super pumped for a not-slaad. I'm sure I saw something froglike in the MM under Demons, too. Ah! There it is. If you look at the 4e MM1, you can see that it might make a decent not-hezrou, as well. I've also been wanting a good not-slaad figure for a long time too, so either application will be a good one.

The kickstarter pales in comparison to Kev White sculpting some models for Reaper.
