This is awesome, and wow, I am going to have to up my pledge. I started with $150 and I already want to up it to about $200. By the time this is over my wishlist of add-ons is going to be close to $450, right? Picking and choosing is going to really hurt my brain.

Can't be. If the shipping to Canuckistan is more than ~10%-20% of your pledge, then the math doesn't check out.

 

$100 order + $70 shipping is silly. I only want 60% of the Core Set, which means that even if they triple the cost at retail, it's cheaper to go retail and get free shipping.

 

Reaper is shooting themselves in the foot (feet?). They're delaying free shipping, not mitigating it.

I have been comparitively lazy about painting my Bones, and the magnitude of the task ahead is beginning to sink in. Because now it's not theoretical. Now it's "you best paint them 400-odd minis, son, cuz a whole lot more a-comin next year".

 

Hubby painted the first mini he's done since college while at the PAX Prime paint & take. Since our gaming time has been ramping up we're now talking about having a regular painting night. So I don't have to paint them all by myself! I need more bones!! ::D:

 

 

I'd get more done if I let other people help paint them. But I do not trust them to do a proper job.

 

Plus it's a point of pride for me to have every mini on my game shelf painted by me.

 

(gifts from mini exchanges or other people are stored in a separate VIP area where cheeto-fingered miscreants cannot abuse them)

 

 

I tell myself that if someone does a sub-standard paint job on a mini I love then I can buy myself a replacement if I decide I want to paint it myself. Eventually I get over it. Besides, I just got to trade movie watching night for painting night, which I think is a win. ^_^

 

 

 

If I had a Wifelips, I would let her paint my Bones. Even if she wasn't good at it. But that's the only exception.

yeah, kinda bummed no warlord sets have shown up. seems like they are doing everything but warlord stuff.

They'll get there. There has been much speculation about the reworking of Warlord figures in Bones...

 

i sure hope so. this thing is bound to slow down (i think), and i hope they can convert some of the line before then. right now i am just in it for the paints and the kraken, but i hope that could change.

yeah, i guess, but where is razig? the bloodstone gnomes? korbolas? reptus? i was hoping for more rounded sets of each faction, i suppose.
