Who else plans to magnetize the figs on DDSII for easy swapping?

To all the 'gonna go broke' posts.

Do that many of you folks really hover that close to poverty? If a couple hundred bucks is make or break, then it's time to start saving,

To all the "S.O. is gonna kill me posts"

Maybe having a talk with that special person is in order. Ask them if they's rather have you drinking at the bar or painting minis. Even a big haul like this can be small compared to a bar tab.

Wondered the same things myself..

Speaking for myself, I don't have a lot of spare cash. Dropping $400 on anything unneccessary is a big deal for us. My hobby spending has dried right up the last several years to keep my wife and kids happy. Yes, I'm exaggerating a bit when groaning about what this is going to cost but there are a lot of others things that I could have done with the money. Buying toys helps keep me sane so the rest just have to accept it at times.

Would be interesting to know wich ones on reaper are on the "now that we are finishing, show only one stretch goal" and "show the other one, even if we don´t get it"

It´s an interesting discussion. The "pledge more to show you more" idea is interesting, but also it is the "wow! i dont like this goal, but I like the other one" idea.

And the whole calculations on the pledges vs cost vs goals vs addons. it´s like p**n with numbers

edit: I moved the DDS dragon out of the way, moved Khanjira into the spot. there is some difficulty with leg angles and height of ruins to get her in there too close, and of course it is a new paint job that I don't want to ruin... Bryan is making the links now...

Modularity is always a huge plus for terrain. Thanks a ton

hat's off to Reaper. two 3+ million projects. How many folks can say that!? ::D:

But it's still about $135K shy, isn't it?

Yeah, but it's got hours to go - it's gotten that much in just a few hours before.

I'm still trying to decide if I'm going to throw more money at this. Bundle 2 is attractive, but I'm not sure what I'd do with some of the minis, so the pragmatic, "don't overspend anymore" part of me says to just hold off and purchase the shadow demons when they come out. Part of me really likes the DDSII item - the terrain, warriors, and dragon are all impressive. I love the idea of 3D terrain in my Pathfinder games, but I've generally found it incompatible with the standard method of movement, which is making me a little leery of going for it.

Your Pathfinder is just that: YOUR Pathfinder game! You could probably make it work fairly easily if you lift some movement rules from (gasp) 4e.

I've considered abandoning grid movement altogether and taking a page from WH40K - just using a measuring tape and going with inches. It's just harder to navigate and could slow things down a little bit, especially since it'd make AoOs and such more complicated. But I'm curious how 4.x's movement rules would help. From my experience, they use a grid system too...

Well, DoS might be running a Pathfinder Society game, so I'm not sure how much leeway DoS has in the changing the rules regard. Also 4E is as gridlocked movement rules wise as Pathfinder & 3.5 are. But this is a issue many groups come to, be locked to the grid or have cool terrain and rely on GM judgment calls.

Ok. Every time I have gone to HQ it has felt further and further away. Maybe it is worse today because I have the daughter asking how much longer every two minutes. Stopped at Starbucks down street to wait for a friend. Hope there is still plenty to do and see.
