Bones Kickstarter #2 Discussion

Hmm... Waves 1, 2, and 3 are full. No more backers. Wave 4 is still mostly empty, but that'll change. And soon.

What happens when all the waves fill up? No one else will be allowed to buy in? It'll be up to the 8500 of us who got there first to keep pumping money in to get to the stretch goals?

They will add more waves as necessary. The waves are being used to stagger the shipping.

So when should we begin operation 'Pizza for Reaper2 the search for more Salami"?

Not anytime soon. The real work starts when they start actually receiving the Bones from China. Although Bryan might need some caffeine about now and maybe some lunch.

I'm deathly curious to see what's going to happen when all the pledge levels are full. Will they open up more? Because I'd think that with only 8500 of us, our progress towards the stretch goals is going to skid to a stop MIGHTY quickly when the new blood quits coming in...

Go to http://ircalc.usps.com/MailServices.aspx?country=10054&m=6&p=4&o=0&MailingDate=10/1/2013&MailingTime=8:00%20AM&dv=100

and select first class international options (for a 4 pound package) - comes to $24.62. Now, I'm certain VAT, customs, etc are more - but those would apply to an order from them as well (I would assume) from their website.

Shipping a "Medium Flat Rate Box" is $40, a "Large Flat Rate Box" is $55.

The "Small Flat Rate Box" maxes out at 4lbs...and my KS1 pledge was 5.5lbs and I didn't order very much beyond the Vampire.

So assuming I don't go stupid and get 2 Core sets, Shipping should top out at $55. That's not bad if they can cram everything into a single LFRB.

Maybe not purely kickstarter related but what is the difference between the KS1 paints and the Master Series paints?

KS paints were Master Series as well. The KS2 paints differ because they're *HD* paints.

The Master Series HD line is much more opaque, designed for base coats. The standard Master Series line is for layering. It can be used for basecoats, but may require more coats than the HDs.

I assume, and hope, Reaper has some sort of discount on shipping, as they use shipping services rather much :P

That and that US shipping is not free so they are paying something. Would be unfair that I´m paying a USA fellow shipping cost... : P

last order I got from reaper broke the 100 dollar magic barrier and @133 dollars.. I got hit with 27dollars in duty fee's..so fellow Canucks I'm not sure if its a flat fee or a percentage..but from faq we should all keep that in mind we're looking at duty + the shipping fee's

It is what it is..just people need to temper their expectations this time. Does anyone know how the duty fee is calculated?

I was being my ussual crazy self. I know, we have plenty of time before we need to consider rewarding them.

The thing I'm worried about? That the 'cool' stuff, like the figures with bases, will come out, but they'll do so in limited edition resin. You know, like the Kraken or the old 'evil Warlord' where they only made so many, charged a mint for him because his detail was so fine it could only be cast in resin? This would be the reverse.

I'd love for Reaper to prove me wrong on this and love to see some year of metal stuff hailing my way in the form of some of these sculpts. The skeletons, especially with the old 80's look to them, would be top of the list.
